how about drinking?

I have turned into CRAZY PATIENT!!! I never heard from my breast surgeon today (like promised). So, I called him this afternoon. Well, his office closes at 2 pm on Thursdays and guess what time I called??? 2 pm!!! I left a message and paged him twice - no answer! So, I called the onco's office, since I have an appt in the morning with them. Why go in if there are no results.... Well THEY HAVE THE RESULTS BUT WON'T TELL ME!!! Ughhhh...... So, then I got desperate and tried to get in touch with the onco's PA at the other office. No luck there. He's doing hospital rounds. So, then I called my plastic surgeon. Apparently, I signed my hippa paperwork incorrectly, so they couldn't get results. So, I drove across town and signed new paperwork. I stayed until 4:45 and spoke to my PS. He never got results - but at least he tried. He called me after I left his office and told me that he still hadn't heard anything but that he would pray for me tonight (I love love love my PS). So, now I have to wait until tomorrow. My appt is at 9:30, but I found out the PA will be there at 9, so I'm going in early!!!
I need something to drink, but I feel so crappy. I'm worn out from surgery and haven't had much to eat all day!
-
Huggsss, Kitty--the waiting game sure does suck the big one! Hopefully, everything will be in place tomorrow. Glad your appt is early so you don't have to fret all day. My fingers are still crossed!
AStorm--how long do you have to wait for exam results? Good luck!!
Welcome home, Wahine--thanks for leaving me some $$$ in Tunica, but wish you had won a big one!!
Happy TGIF tomorrow to everyone!!!
-
Kitty, sending you a virtual Valium, Ativan, whatever you need to sleep tonight. I am so sorry you are on the waiting game too. Sleep my friend if you can. XXXXOOOO HD
-
Kittycat, I echo junie and hunkydory......hope you get really, really, good results tomorrow, and get a good night sleep tonight. Too much stress!!!! Did you get HD's virtual drugs yet? They should help!!! Sorry you couldn't get results today, but glad you did all you could possibly do to try to track them down. All that would have worn me down too! And so nice of your PS to pray for you....hang on to him...he's a keeper! (((HUGS))) and let us know tomorrow!!!
Kathy

Thanks everyone!!! I need all the prayers I can get! I got the virtual drugs and 2 glasses of wine! Feeling a bit better! Less than 12 hours until I get news! Hopefully it's good news. My toast tonight was one word.... BENIGN!!!!!!!!!
-
Kittycat -- I hope you are asleep but I'm still sending good energy for you. I like your toast. I think I'll borrow that... it is always a good mantra. The good thing about HTL drinks is that they don't hurt you and can even enjoy them after midnight on the eve or surgery.
I won't hear about my exam until June, which is fine cuz I can't take the exam again until July if I failed it. My plan is to focus on exam #2 for now.

kittykat--after you get your results ask how to file a complaint about not getting the results as promised. If your BS didn't get the results as expected he/she can take your formal complaint to who ever did the tests. At the very least you should get a written apology from someone. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for this kind of f@(k-up. Even worse, what if you were paging about an emergency and didn't get an answer? THAT is not only inexcusable but dangerous! Please, Please, Please make sure you tell your BS and the BS's office manager about both issues and GET A RESPONSE that makes you feel secure that it won't happen to another woman.
No wonder you are CRAZY PATIENT--and you have every right to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, lordy, now I need a stiff drink, I 'm so angry for kittykat! Maybe a liquid valium is in order. . .
-
I like your "TGIF" Dee!!!
Kitty, anxiously waiting for your results.....we are all here with you!
-
Any word yet Kitty? Waiting to hear good news
-
BAD NEWS!!! It's BACK!!! I had IDC (about 0.6 cm), grade 3 - crap. Also DCIS that's mutlifocal. I go to the BS on Monday. I'll need to get a sentinel node biopsy. The onco wants to do a petscan, but I have to wait to heal. I guess the hyst/ooph is on hold. The onco referred me to a radiation onco, who I also see on Monday. This disease SUCKS!!! I am praying hard it's not in my lymphnodes! The onco seems positive. Keep me in your prayers.
-
Oh, kittykat--that is such sucky news. I wish I knew what to say. {{{{{{{{{{kittykat}}}}}}}}}}}
-
OMG Kitty! That sucks for sure. Hang in there sweetie and I will keep all things crossed for no lymph involvement. You will get through this and be okay. Good luck with the BS and Onco on Monday!
-
Kitty, my heart goes out to you....and lots of prayers that your lymphnodes are clear. I can imagine how scary this is right now, but I agree with Dee, that you will get through this and be okay! If you feel a lot of arms around you, it is all of us holding you up, and giving you big hugs. You are so right...this disease SUCKS!!!!! Please come here and hang out at the pool and let the TT's pamper you, and feel free to vent...we are here for you.
When you feel like smiling again, look at this video of dogs...its really cute, and hope it will bring a smile: http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=pkPNa4DBFHI

I've got the super absorbant towels for drying tears for kittykat
-
Kitty, so sorry for the news. I hope your get through next week and hope your BS or Onc gave you a real script for Valium or Ativan. It will help you sleep. I cried a tear for you today because I remember it all so well. I also am thinking of you Bean. I know you had a fretful week with scans. I don't feel like partying anymore, so I will say chow, and my prayers are with all of you....everyone! xxoo HunkyD
-
...awww, Kitty--what crappy, crappy results!! Sounds like your medical team is moving quickly. Fingers crossed for good results on node biopsy and PET--once those are out of the way and results are known, things will fall into place. Sometimes, I think the waiting side of this is the hardest of all. Big hugggssss to you!!!
Taking my bucket out poolside and cussing cancer to hell!!!
-
I am so sorry, that is just awful. Try and take care of yourself.
-
{{{{{kittycat}}}}} THAT SUCKS!!! I'm so sorry. This has been a really crappy week. I hope next week is a little better... I'm still hoping for negative on the lymph node biopsy. I hate this disease!
-
