how about drinking?

Junie - I love the story about the dog and your hubby at the liquor store. When we first got our dog Bear, everyone at Starbuck's knew his name (but not ours)! LOL!!!
-
I had one beer tonight and it was too much for me! Have I become a lightweight??? I haven't drank much in the last 2 weeks because of my exchange surgery.
-
kittycat, you haven't become a lightweight, you're just enjoying one of the few perks of this whole trip--temporarily reverting to "cheap date" status after anesthesia!
Well, my winter storm advisory amounted to a bare dusting of snow. So much for weather predictions. Now I suppose I don't have any escuse to skip the meeting I don't want to go to, but since I can get some more errands done and then have plans for an evening out with freinds I guess I can't complain (much).
Save a seat for me, be back tomorrow!
-
Hi everyone!
Kitty, not to worry, you'll be back in form in no time! Here, let me help you get started - Pants! Refill please!
Kathy, love the resolution. I think I'll make one that I can stick with too. I resolve not to eat liver!
Native, I think raspetinis go with anything, and that includes the lasagna! Your seat's always saved, come back when you can.
HunkyD? Are you here somewhere? Haven't seen you in a while & hope all is well. Thanks for the info on the te's, I appreciate it. Hope your new girls and pockets are cooperating with each other!
Dee - a 70's theme sounds great to me! I think I have an old tube top dress and an appleseed necklace around somewhere - and I know I have my BeeGee's album!!
Everyone - I don't have the energy right now to come up with a clever poem or toast, but please know that I'm sending cheers to each of you for a very Merry Christmas!! xo, E
-
My New Years resolution is not to drink any more OR any less!
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, a pocket full of money and a cellar full of beer!
ChEARS!
Dee~

Hi gals! Hope everyone is doing well, and staying safe and warm, and out of any storms! Looks like we might have a big one on Christmas Eve
with 40mph winds in the valley and 60mph on the mountain areas..but LOTS of rain and storms...they already predict that many will lose power...no snow though, prob in the 50s during the storms.
Dee, I hope you are in charge of our fantabulous New Years Eve party!!! However, putting my 2cents in for a more glam party....feel like dressing up....we need to start this new year in style! Show off all our new foobs.....low cut, glam dresses. Maybe you can sweet talk our TT's and the firemen into putting on a GOOD show for us. And of course since this is the HTL, we will all have fabulous figures to show off (boy do I wish that would come true....hey, Santa......)!
Just popped in for a minute, so didn't have a chance to read back on the posts yet.....but I am thinking of you all, and so glad we have this wonderful place to gather!
Mele Kalikimaka me ka Hauoli Makahiki Hou!
Kathy
edit: Dee, I was posting when you were, so missed seeing your post. I LIKE your resolution and your CHEER!!!

Hi Everyone! I am off from work for 4 days! Yea! Getting ready to go for a few libations with some co workers in a hour or so. Erika, I am still here....I just had to go back to work...dang it! Kitty, you will come around....you will just need your training wheels for a little while longer! Looking at pink toenails through red wine? Hmmm! I will have to catch up on everyones posts later but I did read something about a party....I am in! Dee's planning a party...(sing song type voice) Hehehe!
-
ROFL HunkyD! What a neat picture!!! Have fun tonight drinking....and celebrating being away from work for 4 days...YAY!
jaybird, Hope you don't get snowed in! Looks like your area is getting it pretty hard. And NM, glad you didn't get that winter storm after all! Kitty, take it slowly like everyone said....soon you'll be a diehard drinker again!
Merry Christmas Eve Eve, everyone!
Kathy

Maybe a Luau theme?
-
You girls crack me up! I'm new to these boards so it's wonderful to find that you've all been through this and are still having fun. Cheers, cabernet for me tonight-- I decided I might as well drink some of the good bottles now!
-
Oh Dee....I love it! A luau theme...appropos this year since Lori just had her wedding in Hawaii! Such an adorable picture...don't know where you find all these. I made my late DH a Hawaiian shirt that looks identical in pattern to the yellow one. What fun! And since most would not like the lomi salmon or poi, I would get to "pig out" (no pun intended). Bring on the MaiTais and BlueHawaiis and ChiChis!!!
Jill, a Big Welcome to you! Pull up a barstool and join us. The Hot Tatties Lounge is amazing...along with Banana Hammock swim up pool bar, our Tattie Tenders (Pants and Jocks), free casino, mimosa and raspberry martini fountains.....anything your heart desires. And lots of supportive, caring, and FUN gals here! OH, and the nice fire pit which is very handy about now, to keep us all warm and cozy. Hope you enjoyed your cabernet...if it is one of your favorites, make sure the TT's will stock it at the bar. They always keep iced buckets of ML's for junie, and whatever we ask for.
Cheers to ALL,
Kathy
P.S. Lori, Are you back from your trip? Hope it was good!!
-
Hunky, you have a great way with your pics! AWESOME!! I LOVE IT!
Welcome to our newest drinking bud JILL
Everyone have a wonderful Christmas Eve! I hope Santa brings you everything you wish for!
Cheers to you and me, excuse me now I gotta pee -oops, powder my nose
OXOXOX
-
Hi, Jill! come on into the hot tub, the boys will bring you a glass of cabernet or whatever you want. Pants and Jocks move the raspberry martini fountain back and forth between the hot tub, pool and bar depending on where I want to hang out at the moment, they are just amazaing at anticipating our wants and needs. Check out the 'write the story five words at a time" thread in the humor forum, the TaTa Lounge figures rather prominently in the current story!
Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!
-
Welcome Jill! Always drink the good stuff first! It's like having dessert first - not such a bad thing when you think about it!
Ice here. We've had what they call 'wintry mix' and it ain't pretty. Freezing rain last night/this morning so the dogs are sliding around outside. The ice melter stuff isn't working very well. I have no real plans until this evening and by then they're promising 40 degrees which may bring flash flooding. Happy Winter! (not)
I'm staying in today and wrapping presents and relaxing. Friday I'm off to Barcelona to relax some more. Hopefully the weather will cooperate!
Cheers to all for a safe and happy holiday weekend!
-
Welcome Jill! Nice to see another happy face joining us!
Love the pictures, ladies - too funny.
Just doing a little cleaning today, part of the family coming over tomorrow. Looking forward to a relaxing Christmas (I think everyone feels sorry for me, and isn't expecting a whole lot, so I am willing to take full advantage
Love to all - Merry Christmas!
-
Have a beer and lots of cheer!
Luv,
Santa

All I want for Christmas is for N E D,
That would be the very best gift for me!
I'm wishing you all the very same gift...
You can even have lipo or a breast lift.
With a bc dx, we have become close,
Whether coping with fills or an antib dose.
I treasure my "breast friends" at the HTL,
You all are awesome,I'm sure you can tell!
Let's kick this beast way off to the curb
That they haven't a cure is simply absurd!
My best Christmas wishes go out to you all....
And let's have a smashing New Year's Eve ball!
Kathy

If anyone wants to track Santa, here is the Norad Tracker....sorta cool....

edit: That is,when he gets through drinking his beer....Dee you caught him!!!
-
Welcome Jill, you have come to the right place. I have a few cobwebs in my head today! Not sure that I stopped early enough last night. Two tylenol and some coffee maybe will help me out. I've never be too a Luau before. Funny pic Dee. Ya know, I've never seen a sock monkey with boobs or TE's, or implants. I guess I will have to look for one!
Happy Xmas Eve! HunkyD Edited to add the pic and nice poem Kathy!!!!
-
PERKY LMAO!!!!!
-

Well, Santa stopped by this afternoon (a young Santa!) and he gave me an x-mas present and it was NOT a lump of coal (a lump of something though)! I guess I was a good girl this year?
LOVE the sock pupets and all the other pics! I really do promise to post some pics here soon. I should have a lot of free time in Barcelona since nothing will be open so I won't be going out. Being a very Catholic country everything is closed even on the 26th! How crazy is that???
I'm having a quick Mahou before heading over to my aunt's house for our holiday get-together.
Again, wishing all a safe and happy holiday weekend! Cheers!
Janis

Jaybird, be careful going out in that weather tonight! Looks like it is pretty bad your way. We're still waiting to see if the storms are going to start in an hr or so, right when the church services start...want to go, but will see what is predicted. Sounds like you had a FUN visit from Santa!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!
Kathy
-
Jaybird, sounds like you have been a good girl. Have a wonderful time at your Aunts. Be careful, and enjoy! Harley44, here's wishing you a wonderful xmas eve and Christmas also. So nice to have so many wonderful, caring people to share with here! Cheers to all, and have a holly jolly one! XXOO HunkyD
-
Hunky - good to see you here! The monkey looks like she has tissue expanders in - lots of upper pole fullness - LOL! Well, except she has nipples, unless like some of us!
Jill - welcome to our bar! Pull up a stool and grab yourself a cocktail!
I'm breaking out the mimosas tomorrow!!! Woo - Hoo!!!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!! Cheers!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I went food shopping with my husband yesterday (first holidays without traveling!) and decided to get a few bottles of specially good wines! I decided to enjoy my vino and let it do all the bad things alcohol supposedly does to my breasts while I still have them! So, now that I have come to terms with my decision in having bilateral mastectomy instead of lumpectomy, I can finally enjoy good food and great wine until my surgery on December 31. I am not a stalker but have been following daily a few of my new sisters on this and a few other threads! It has helped me tremendously! Thank you ladies and Happy Holidays! Erika
