over and out, dis time for real for real real. -
Cyn dont be scared......loads of women have no problems at all......what you read on these threads are mainly those who do. If after a few months you find the SE are just too much to put up with you can always change to one of the other AI's. I tried Arimidex for fifteen months and then changed to Femara........way better for me but you will never know unless you try. Good luck! -
Just about to find one and join you. Sober now but one will see me gone I can tell you. Chrissy no more now you hear cause its early for you. -
Awe Aly.......but it Satdee night an tis da nite for habin jes a foo.........but ise be a good goil and jest hab club soda now (wid a dash o vodka)....... -
Thanks goils....great to see you Stella. I still have about 2.5 weeks of Tammy left...it's not going over well with D..she has specific thoughts on the matter. E n y ways...got a ticket to Austin in 3 weeks ..countdown begins....
Hey....I just gave Reese a bath last week...he smells like pretzels. Think he needs another? He Loves baths.
Happy happy weekend to all...please pray for OT!
I should go to bed
-
Iys know yuo Chrissy you be dwaunk with dat much. Will go to sleep if i watch tele. Rugby Chrissy sorta knows what tis but then shes Aussie. -
Oooo Aly! youse tyin one on.......youse go goil!!! -
So it doesn't matter if I drink if I have cancer before or during chemo? -
Hi catestarz..........it is not recommended that you intake alcohol while undergoing chemo......the reason being, your liver is under a whole lot of stress from the chemo and adding alcohol to the mix could make it a whole lot worse with lasting effects.
The drinking here mostly is done virtually and is a lot of fun meant to cheer and remove our minds from the everyday hassles.......please feel free to join in to lighten your mood and help you through chemo.
Love n hugs. Chrissy -
Good morning, Loungettes! How is every one this sunny SaTURDay????I am looking forward to puttering around the yards today and getting things cleaned up.And maybe doing some baking. And maybe taking Sadie for a walk.
ORLA---We are so great we get stalkers, I like that attitude!
Wahine--I promise I'll be good, I'll use the timer method.10 minutes of work, 15 minutes of rest.Rest means reading while petting or cuddling with Sadie.ButI do need to take advantage of the weekend time that isn't raining!
Karen--Oooh, a bit pot of chicken soup!I've got a big batch of garlic that I was going to make garlic infused olive oil with, I think I'm going to 'repurpose' a clove or two! That will kill the remnants of this little cold I've got!
BBBBBernie--I noticed a big moon last night, was watching it for a while, didn't see any eclipse, though.Still it was beautiful. Very scary looking when it first came up behind some clouds!
Wahine--Halloween can be a really fun time!I used to do up my place--blinking eyes in the bushes, creepy haunted house sounds, etc, but I don't get any trick-or-treaters anymore so I don't bother.
BBBBBernie--I never knew that about a Full Moon.I did know it's a time when the supernatural has more strength than other times, except fall and summer equinoxes (equinoxi? Whatever)
I remember the purse under the full moon thing with Junie!I don't remember if any of us ever got a windfall after or not , but it was fun!
Mornin', CynCyn!
Cammy--No fun learning a new TV system, is it???
Karen--You make some BIG cookies!Sounds like fun!
Chrissy--I've lucked out and the cold is just some sniffles now, but I'm still going to get some extra cuddles with Sadie, any excuse for cuddles!
Welcome, Eve!
Alyson--any friend of Chrissy's is welcome here!
DorKable--Welcome home, Make sure you don't be OVERDOING!!!As in, do not do ANYTHING!Rest and heal!
Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is Lori's Saturday Night Special
1 oz Banana Liqueur
1 oz Coconut Rum
1/2 oz Dark Rum
Blend all ingredients until smooth. If it gets too thick, add some cream. Top with whipped cream and a cherry. -
Gosh, I only missed one day! Had to have DH at the hospital early yesterday morn for some testing, and it’s an hour and a half one way, so had to leave early. He saw his PC last week and told him to order any kind of test he could think of, to rake insurance company, since we pay so much every year and will be canceled at the end of the year. So nothing serious and no reason to worry. DH has a lot going on for us, says we are semi retired, but actually have MORE to do! We may start selling these little cuties, so we have had to create a new website, do photos and videos. Which it’s my job to do all of the editing and getting it on the website. Also, Lilian will be here in a couple of weeks to stay with us, we are meeting with her and some of her family at the Grand Canyon next week, and DH has another 4 day get away planned. So will all of this going on, I don’t have enough time in the day to get MY chores done!!!! As for the move Gravity, I was not impressed. The 3D affects were good, but as for the movie, it was mostly Bullock only floating around in space. Clooney was in it for a bit in the beginning and then for a few minutes in the middle.
NM, I hope you are on the mend. Ooooo, it sounds like it! And no, no, no…..well I don’t want to say it, but nuttin else kicked in to make it worse, wooo hoooo. And tanks a bunch foy de Saturday Night Special. It really duz sound YUMMY. Did I post it before, or did you jes call it dat?
Kathy, that is scary that your mom almost went out driving. My dad did that one time and he DID get lost. And Junie would say “Fill er up”, when she held her purse up to the full moon.I remember your headless butler costume!
Karen, the dreaded "S" word, YUCK! I hate winter, but mostly because of it getting dark so early and staying dark so long in the mornings.
DorK, leave it to you to find an app for farts!
Bernie, sending prayers out to you, your DH and BIL. I hope all goes well. I did not see the Blood Moon, did anyone see it?
Ah Dork, you saw it? I dunno, I think you high and wif Zach, no telling what it was you saw.
Cami, did you find Fearnet? Glad you and Lara have your movies to share. Oh darn, looks like maybe there is no Fearnet?
LOL Chrissy, on Kathy slowing down to relax. I highly doubt it!
Hello and welcome to Aly, a friend of dat wicked Chrissy……….lol.
Hi Eve and welcome back to you as well.
Cyn, if you didn’t have much trouble with the Tammy, you should be ok with the Arimidex. I think it can have the same SE. Speaking of Arimidex, I have 2 unopened bottles, if anyone wants them. My mail pharmacy always ships 3 months worth, so I have extra. Got all essited over seeing you have ticket to TX, but den bremembered, you no get to see D. Bummer!
Hi Starz, what Chrissy said, plus you prolly will not feel like drinking!!! Or eating either, for the same reason. I doubt a little would hurt, once in a great while. But really, you most likely will not want to.
Dort, you are home and wif a new vacuum? Girl, I am warning you…………you best be on your best behavior, or I am coming to get Zach! I’m watching you!
Quit laffing and get those fingers outta your ears! -
It's what's for lunch today! -
Good morning, again, Loungettes!
Goldie--I was browsing drinks with Saturday in the name and ran across that one, just had to post it!I don't blame you for getting everything done possible before the insurance runs out.And it's getting on toward time for the yearly review of the benefits at work, including health insurance. What a bore, but so important.
McVodka for me, too!!!!!! -
OK, not sure where the formatting stuff came from. . . . -

Oh yippeeeeee, our Hot Tatties Lounge is really busy!! SO nice to see some new gals here, welcome Starz! Pull up a barstool, you can even design your own, And Alyson, I have heard such nice things about you already! See, your good reputation preceeds you...AND you are from NZ....oh how I love your country. Just been there once so far, and we had my elderly parents with us, but we flew in to Auckland (your city) and drove around the north island, then took the ferry to south island and drove around there. So ez to stop at a little place to spend the night. LOVE driving past waterfalls, driving by the shoreline and looking up to see snowcovered alps, etc. We really want to go back and do it more at our leisure, as my dad kept wanting to go, go, go. When we stopped at a nice interesting town for lunch, etc., we thought we could explore for awhile, but he wanted to get on the road again. My poor DH (the gals here know what he goes thru with myu dad) had to drive from early morning till happy hour, all day, every day. ANYHOW< not sure if you like to be called "kiwi", whether that is a flattering word, or if its not considered nice to be called that? We could nickname you that, OR if you think of a nickname you might like let us know. We have another Allison (MrsVino) but as you can see, her name is spelled differently than yours is. Also, I am so very sorry about your loss. I was going to send you a PM, but since you are right here in the lounge, I will just express my condolences in person. We call it the RB (for rat ba$tard) and its just beyond sad when it takes another wonderful person. (((Alyson)))
And Eve, omg with all the drama here lately, I missed you entirely. Glad you are back, should be fun and games here again, like it usually is. Hope you are having a good day.
OMG Lori, when I first started reading your post I was afraid your DH was having problems, but glad he just wanted to get all checked out. I do know you have paid waaaay too much for your healthcare, hope the new system will be of benefit to you. I am afraid we will lose some of our good drs. My best surgeon, who did my bilat mast told me a couple of yrs ago that if obamacare came in, he would retire. And my DH's doctor retired, and now the dr they put him with has changed to the "concierge care" where you pay a big amount monthly (yearly?) to have whatever care you need. Sounds like a ripoff though, unless its with a specialist that you need anyway. Dang it girl, you sure ARE busy! I was concerned as you hadn't posted much since you got back....hmmmmmmm.....competing with me for traveling more, huh? Nah, jest kidding, but it is FUN to get away from all the stuff at home that calls your name....fun that you have another 4-day adventure to look forward to.
Watching NM to make sure she DOES rest like she says...lol..jest kidding. I know you are good about things like that, esp when you have a plan ahead of time. Lucky Sadie to get all the resting hugs!!! Thanks for the DOTD!!! And glad Karen reminded you of chicken soup, really, seems like homemade chicken soup DOES help a cold, help sinuses, etc.
YAY our favorite Aussie is in de lounge!!! Well, right now she is passed out on de floor, but she is HERE! Hiya Chrissy, so glad you have some time to be here again....when you were so bizzy with the wedding, we missed you sooooo muchliest!
WooHoo CyndieLouWhoGetsToSeeHerSpecialOneSoon.... so glad you have just 3 wks till Austin!!! And you are lucky Reese likes baths...I have to trick mine and Mav is sooo big it is not good for my back, so they don't get washed often. It amazes me with all the white fur they have (ya know, the white and black large patches), that the white part usually looks so clean. But I know furbabies must feel so much better with a bath...I know I do!
Oh those pics are so cute, Lori!
I know I will be bumping someone....writing soooo long. OH am glad that Dorkie got to see that neat moon, when it was time for us to see it, the sky was totally cloudy, so mised it. Later on, it just looked like a regular moon. Anyone else get to see it?
Hi to everyone...Lara, Dorkie, Sue, Julie, Karen, omg ya knows I can't always remember everyone, but that is what is so good about our thread, we can just write to one, or several or all, and we ALL know that we have so much love for all of us, regardless of whether our name is mentioned in every post.
Big welcome to the newbies, if you want, you can see the video Lori made, of the HTL (Hot Tatties Lounge) and be served by our special Tenders, and special Wenches. It is an awesome place to be, and you can add whatever you want...we do have a pool, swim up bar, firepit, firemen, etc., etc., oh and a casino with free atm...utopia!
Love you girls!
Katwinka (aka Kat, aka Wahine, aka Wahine de Machine, aka Raquelle, aka whatever!) -
Oops Lara I bumped ya....into de arms of your favorite Tender...whichever one you want. I have a preferece for Hunk, but still Love Pants and Jock, since they were the first three we hired here. Lots of others though...there is Eric, ChileBoy....Mr Big....Mr Bigger...can't remember them all. I did meet Hunk and Chileboy in person, and was near Mr. Big on the plane. Take your pic!!!! Then here's a dwink for mese bump....*handing Lara a DOTD*....
