I know you all won't believe this, that is why I am putting it into the humor place.
I am not one for "updating" and buying new devices, but yesterday I had to buy a cordless phone...sounds wierd hu?
Not really as DH and myself have almost killed each other with this 50 foot cord going from room to room...2 wks ago the flippin cord was stuck under a big chair..yes I lifted it as I knew I shouldnt as I have not really healed from my 2nd mast yet..but the chair fell on my foot broke the nail etc..I have fallen and so has DH...so the cord had to go, and I thought it would be advantageous in the long haul for Cal-Osha, as we really did not need anymore health problems than what we have already.
Oh its horrible...I read the book, got a few things "I thought in my mind"...and today it was ready to use..ok, I made a few calls, no biggie, did not have any calls at all today. But had my son use his cell phone to make sure it really was working, and yes the bell rang... ok ok..
Well the !@#!! phone just rang 2 min ago, I grabbed it and I could not figure out how to say hello, or which buttons to really press as this flippin thing has pushed my buttons! And it takes alot to get my buttons pushed....So I am trying to welcome myself to this so called "new century" of the cordless phone....Im ready to find my old corded one and hang myself with it...LOL
Please don't panic! just wanted to make someones day a little brighter by my stupidity with these "new devices"...GRRRRRRRR
OK OK you got a good laugh at my expense, your welcome!

I am sure you will soon adapt to the new one and see advantages.
I ran to answer the phone last year tripped over a chair, fell on another and broke it with my rib - which was then fractured and took six weeks to heal.
But guess what I got to the phone before it stopped - and it was a wrong number!!
True story!

Oh, Ter, I'm sorry for you, but I'm glad I'm not alone! One of our sons got us a cordless phone and, knowing our uneducated state, he came over and taught us to dial out and to receive calls. Now every couple of weeks he calls with the next lesson. So far I've mastered the redial and the speaker phone, but there are still a mess of buttons on that thing that I just stay away from!

Ter,
just wait..... I can never find the cordless phones. I just buy new ones -
I had to laugh as we just bought a new cordless phone last weekend. My husband thought he had done everything to get it ready. My brother phoned and said the answering machine is programmed in French. We may leave it that way to get rid of the pesky telemarketers.
