I am waiting for two upcoming surgeries. I am now ready to do some reading to keep me informed and positive. I am interested in recommendations from this group. I know you will send me in the right direction.

Start with Dr. Susan Love's Breats Book. She writes well and covers breast cancer from start to end. Waking the Warrior Goddess is also a good resource.

    Best of luck to you,

"Susan Love's Breast Book" book gets high praise among many ladies on this site.

I just ordered the new (2005) edition on Amazon. They had several new, and slightly used copies yesterday. I got mine for 64 cents !!! And shipping was only $3.49; so less than $5 total, and it comes right to my door!

I'm going to order another copy so that we can circulate it through all our friends here.

Hope some of you can slip in there to Amazon and catch some of the real bargains!

    Ladies,
I have been gifted with the wonderful CD set from HealthJourneys "Successful Surgery" from my lovely friends on this forum. It is an audio recording for relaxation/imagery to get through surgery with the possibility of less discomfort.

Now that my surgery is in 2 days, I would like to pass this CD on to someone else who can use it to prepare for their upcoming surgery.

If you would like to receive the CD, the only request is that you agree to pay the postage to send it on to another sister who could benefit from it on this forum. If this is of interest please send a private message with your address to me (click on my 4TSomething link) and I will get the CD in the mail ASAP. (Since I'm going in for my own surgeries in 2 days, let me know if you need the CD right away, and I'll have a family member get it in the mail for you.)

Thanks, and many blessings sent to each of you.

In addition the helpful information included on this post, has anyone heard of Dr. Martin Rossman's Book and CD to help with the presurgery jitters and which are also supposed to help with post surgery healing? I found it while searching the Amazon website after reading some of the other posts here.
    Thanks
    Liz
