Has anyone had a laparoscopy after a tram flap? I am nervous about something getting messed up.

I had a laparoscopy-assisted total hyst - Is this the same type of laparoscopy? Nothing got messed up - I was in and out and the surgery was a piece of cake!

Thanks for your input. I am getting my ovaries removed instead of everything and am just worried about it being more difficult because of the tram flap.

I'm having my ovaries removed also - October 24th.
I too worry about recovery, etc. Hope everything goes well with you!

Thanks. Good luck to you too. Did you have a tram flap done? Let me know how it goes.

I had a laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy last May after a free TRAM in 2003. Everything went well (still have flat belly) except they made an incision ABOVE my reconstructed naval instead of at it and then three more small ones below my TRAM line. I think the gynecologist said my naval was lower than normal but I was under the impression it was created in the same position. I plan on asking my PS about this next time I see him. Hope things go well.

Thanks for your feedback. I know my external anatomy is rearranged (My belly button is off center)but I hope that it will not make it more difficult.
