Diagnosed at age 49 in Sep 05. Bi-lateral mastectomy with tissue exanders Oct 05. Diagnosed with IDC & ILC, 2.1 cm, 1 node pos, er/pr ++, her2-. Will start chemo tomorrow (Dose dense AC x 4 followed by Taxol X 4) followed by tomoxifen (or hopefully arimidex if chemo throws me into menopause). Still awaiting test results for brac1/brac2 gene due to family history.

I was diagnosed at age 42. Right on 4th of July weekend with a ton of family here! No family history. My tumor was less than 4cm and all other tests met the test!!! I didn't have to do chemo, rad or drugs. I am cancer free 5 months now and I still cry as I write this I am very lucky but have only one head light!!!!!

To the rest of you, Blessed Be. I am so sorry you have to deal with this at the stages you have to deal with.

Happy Holidays and hang in there ladies!!!! You are all worth hanging in for.
