Am I crazy or what?

I have been on arimidex for approx. 7 months. All of a sudden I have been getting joint pain, muscle aches, back pain and my feet even hurt. I was doing so good. No side effects until lately. Is this all in my head or have others had side effects later on? What should I do? My regular doctor told me it was a virus. However its been 3 weeks and nothing has changed. I don't know what to do here............feel like I am going crazy!

    Could you have delayed neuropathy?  The feet hurt sounds like it.  (my feet hurt sooo bad! along with legs pains, and my hands hurt.) ) My third set of chemo (Phase I trial) gave me server neuropathy,..what was weird it did not start until about six weeks after I finished.  Also could your red/white blood be low? This can feel like a all over body ache.  I know some ladies also get immune disorder's while in treatment.  Maybe your doctor could also check for this also so, this could also cause problem's like yours.

     I hope you find some release soon.

    Ransom - there have been many threads about the many SEs of the AIs. All the things you mention are SEs I have also. I went to the podiatrist about my feet and he diagnosed plantar fasciatis, and my onc and many other oncs (according to this site) all say that they are not aware of any side effects of these drugs. However, many of us have the foot pain, toe and tinger pain, severe fatigue, muscle aches, etc. Also the brain fog. I was diagnosed in December of 2003 and have had all these side effects starting with taking Arimidex. When I was on tamoxifen, the main SEs were mental fatigue and hot flashes. You can do a search on the AI section and find many conversations about this....Good Luck :)

    There is also an Arimidex forum - "Anyone started Arimidex in 08". I think I've seen all of your SE's listed. I have several too. I wonder if it's worth it?Undecided Good luck to you.
