My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 45 years old. She is now 57 years old. She has on the side of her breasts; something that looks like spider bites. She has around 5. She also said the other day she had some pain on her breast but it now it is gone. She has had those spider bites pimples for months. Does anyone know what this could be?

I don't know, but its probably good to get them checked out with her doc. Any skin disease that happens on other parts of your skin can happen on your breast.

Urge you mum to have this checked just incase it's a skin recurrence...

Any changes to the breast should be checked out by a doctor.  I just recently read an article on IBC (Inflamatory Breast Cancer).  You can search it on the web for yourself.  Consult your doctor.

Tell her to see her oncologist and/or a dermatologist.  A simple punch biopsy of the skin (tiny pin prick of local anesthesia -- takes 5 min...2 or 3 stitches....nothing like a regular breast biopsy) will tell her exactly what it is.  Good luck!

If they look like pimples or something along that line, they could be nothing more than that, or a boil, but I say if she's had it for several months and it won't go away, she might want to have it checked out just to ease her mind.

I had a very large pimple just all of a sudden appear overnight right under my armpit that I felt in the shower.  It hurt, and I put some benzoyl peroxide on it, and it did shrink, but it took a while for it to go away.  Just a week before this pimple appeared, I saw my dr for a regular checkup and she gave me a clinical breast exam and that pimple wasn't there at that time.  2 months later I saw a nurse at the breast clinic and told her about this (by that time the pimple was all but gone) and the nurse said it could have been either acne or a boil, because she could see where it had been.
