    Has anyone been on xeloda?  How long did it work for you?

    My mom has been on it for the last three months and it has worked for her, the skin on her hands and feet peel a bit and she has a bit of skin discoloration, but otherwise able to lead a "normal life" going to work etc.  Hope it works for you, hope it is ok that I am posting here even though I myself do not have bc.  By the way, I am inspired by all the stories of courage and strength that I see whenever I come into the site....keep on fighting...

    That is great that your Mom can work, my blood preasure drops real low so I cannot drive.  I think that is from my adominal cancer rather than a side affect. I think it is great that you post here, family members are great for the patient and need support too.

    I have been on xeloda for 18 mos & so far it is working. am only on 750 mg & also on tykerb for 15 mos.  I go for 6 week check-ups . this is what my onc. mandates for me

    I'll have been on Xeloda for two years come next month without any real problems (haven't had the hand and foot syndrome that a lot of people have).
