I am wondering if anyone is participating in the Taylorx Trial. It is one where they do your Oncotype type score and then depending which catagory you fall in you would be randomized for which treatment you get. Yesterday I had my appointment with my oncologist and we went through the chemo I would get (FEC) 6 cycles but then he asked me if I wanted to do the trial thing. My problem is that I have been through to much to be one of the 50% that would get just hormanal treatment without chemo when I want to fight it agressively. He has booked me anyway to start chemo on July 22nd for my first treatment. So I just wondered if anyone else was offered this trial and if you are participating.

Jill.

    Hi Jill,

It wasn't offered to me... HER2 +++.  But I'm with you.. I wouldn't want to risk being one of the 50% who just got the hormonal treatment.  That's always been my concern with signing up for any trial. There's no way to make sure you're going to be in the group that gets the good stuff.

I am in a trial and I did get the more aggressive treatment.  The advice I was given was at the very least I would get standard treatment so I felt like I had nothing to lose.  Now that I am finished, Iam glad I went that route, because the aftercare is my payment.
