I just went to the bathroom and the pot was filled with bright red blood and blood clots so will try to get into the dr. office in the morning.  Any ideas what might be wrong?

OMG!  Spar...maybe you need to go to the emergency room instead of waiting.

Spar2: If it's part of your urine, then it may be from bladder infection. But if it's from the vagina, then it may be part of your period. Are you in pain? Then I second AlwaysHope -- maybe you need to go to Emergency.  All the best to you.

spar....Even if it's something relatively innocuous causing the bleeding, you can't afford to lose so much blood, so I'd say if it happens again, you definitely should go to urgent care or the ER.

Good luck, hon, and keep us posted.

No, have not had a period in 25 years.  I always have blood in my urine and all test show no reason but this is from the rectum.  DH say ER if it happens again tonight or if I can't get into a dr. in the morning.  I appreciate all your support.  Thanks guys.

(((((Hugs))))) Please let us know what you learn.  And I agree with the rest, if this continues you should head to the ER just to made sure.

Oh sweetie! Bright red, IS normally from the lower bowel, and not further up, like the upper GI or stomach, so thats good.  BUT...do you have hemorriods? TMI, I'm sure, but they can bleed badly at times.  I remember people coming in to the ER with them and were scared sh*tless, which was understandable.  They are very vascular.  And we all know what the pain pills after surgeries have done to us in the movement dept, so perhaps you have some internal ones that are bleeding?

Definitely get it checked if not with your doc, get to the ER.  And dh is right...get to the ER if it happens again tonight!  Thinking of you and hoping it's stopped and you are off to bed by now!

Spar.  I logged on late to leave a message on the beach and I read there

    something is going on.

Please get an appointment with your doctor right away.

Do you have hemorrhoids that could have bled profusely?

Check with your doctor is the best to do.

We will all be praying for you dear Spar.  We will be waiting for good news.

You have arms all around you hugging you.

    Love.  Sahalie

Edited to add I just saw your post this morning and thank goodness you are OK.

    Spar !

I had no clue until JUST now...and I am much relieved to hear your okay !  THANK God... but I would still schedule a colonoscopy...(like Always Hope said) Have you had one recently ? Perhaps there are polyps that need to be removed (my dad had them...they were b9 but still needed to get them removed)

Soooo happy to hear your okay !

    Much LUV

I had one in March and did have polyps removed.  Its weird that they didn't mention hemmroids then, unless they just do cancer and polyps.  Oh well, alls well that ends well. love ya

Spar, my dh has hemorrhoid's.  He bled A LOT.  A litle blood dropping in the water looks like a lot.  However, he wasn't bleeding just a little.  When he had the hemorrhoids removed he had to have blood work first.  His hemoglobin was only 9!  Unbelieveable!  The doc had his blood on hand in case he needed a transfusion.  He didn't, but he had to be put on iron.  Also, the doctor told him to take in more fiber.  He bought those little fiber wafers and it stopped the bleeding.  And, his last colonoscopy was clean.  That's when the doc convinced him to use fiber.  He said dh didn't want to keep getting hemorrhoids removed.  His were also internal.  And he had no pain.  So, if everything else is okay I would suggest you take in more fiber.

Hi Spar, I just read this post and actually read right through it. I'm so glad your okay, mind you hemoroids hurt so make sure you take stool softeners.  That would have scared the crap out of me.  (pun intended) Oh and Tucks feel really good on your bottom and just help with any burning if you have that.  Let us know what they think caused them they sound nasty and really painful.

I will still say a prayer for you and I'm pleased that you found out so soon what it was.  Get well

    big hugs,
