He had just signed a contract with CNN, leaving Faux. He worked almost until the end, while making lots of time for his family. He was the best press secretary Bush had and seemed to be the most honest.

Amy....I just head the news on the radio....While I am not a big Bush fan, I have always liked Tony Snow...I felt that he was an honest, hard working man....and I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  He will be greatly missed.

My husband just told me about Tony.  I always liked watching and listening to him.  He seemed pretty fair to me and I liked his voice.  I am going to miss him.

This is so sad, he was always so upbeat and optimistic, if anyone could beat this it was going to be him.  My thoughts are with his family today.

OMG!  I'm shocked.  I had no idea he was doing so badly.  I thought things were going pretty well in his treatment.  This is so sad.

Very sad. I'll always remember his laugh and his smile.

He brought colon cancer visibility to a new level, which always motivates research and funding. I am very thankful to public officials who are comfortable with acknowledging their disease as it so greatly helps the common folks.

My sincere condolences to his family and the large body of world-wide friends.

    Carpe Diem,
    Tender

Yes, he was a very good press secretary. I've learned even more about him today.  He was Bush 41's speech writer.  And he loved Bush 43...believed in what he was doing.  He was most definitely a fair man who worked for Fox News (not faux..that's for another thread), then went on the be the press secretary.  He quit his job at the White House because he wasn't making enough money.  I think he decided to do some speaking or perhaps write a book because of the money issue.  And, then we know he worked for CNN.

I understand his optimism, faith in God, love for his family and friends is what got him through this horrible time in his life.  He remained hopeful.  I wish I had a tenth of his courage.  It has been reported that he had regular checkups, and look what happened.  I hate cancer.  It takes away far too many good people.

I feel so badly for his family.  I can only imagine that even near the very end he was smiling at them, and telling them it would be okay.  What a sad day.

He will be greatly missed.  O'Reilly, Greta and Geraldo will be on live tonight to talk about him.

I loved Tony Snow, I always felt like I could trust his take on things.  This news has really saddened me.  I honestly didn't know he was doing badly.  Very sad news.

Tony Snow was probably the only person involved in this administration I had any respect for and who I would trust. What a terrible lost. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Like all of you, I was shocked.  I liked and respected him.  Brett Hume said last night (one of the few people I respect on cable news) that the cancer when found was outside the colon.  This was with being checked every 6 months to do everything he possibly could to protect himself.

He was an inspiration to anyone who has suffered from cancer, his love of family, his faith, treating anyone with respect and courtesy, his upbeat attitude and smile through all his treatment knowing he was fighting to have a few more years is a lesson for all of us too.

My heart is heavy with so many losses here and now this in recent weeks.
