spell check question

Since the change to the new format I have been composing my posts here at the sight instead of writing them in word and cutting and pasting.  When I use spell check I notice that a lot of words and abbreviations we use ALL the  time are considered misspellings:

chemo

Taxol

Avastin

Lymphedema

the list goes on and on.  In my personal spell-check in word I have added those word, even though some of the are not correct spellings.  It makes correcting spelling much faster.

Can we add words to this spellcheck, and if so how?  If not, could the mods add some of the most used words; chemo drugs, side effect drugs, common abbreviations?

It would be a nice change...

Thanks

Deb C

    Deb,

Thank you for this suggestion.  I will see what we can do to add some commonly used words to our spell checker.

How do you access the spell checker?

Debbie, when you are typing in the box to post a reply, in the grey bar above where you type in your post, there is a box with a check and abc above it, that is the spell checker. This box is the last box on the right. After you have typed your post, click on the abc and the incorrect spellings will we underlined in red, click on the word and the suggested spellings will appear in a drop down box. Just click on the word you want and it will replace the misspelled word.

Is there any way to make the type larger while composing a post?  Not that I'm getting old or anything...LOL
