    Thought this might add a little humor to a serious situation.  I have just completed treatment of 18 months. My dia. was extensive high grade ductal carcinoma in-situ with comedonecrosis. Grade 3 -spread to 10 nodes - very aggressive.  WELL - I was in the bowling arena with my daughter when a 50ish "lady" began bragging about her $5000 boob job.  I let her go for a while and then explained that I just finished witha $350,000 boob job and I thought I looked 10 yrs. younger ( Did I mention I was dressed up and had on all my bling) Do you know that she decided that she needed to go to the bathroom.  After she walked off , my daughter and friends cracked up and wanted to know how I said that with a straight face !!!

    I had a similar situation. I had a bilat diep in Sept. I went to a Christmas party at my next door neighbors and saw a friend of hers who said I looked great. I hadn't even had my stage 2 yet. My neighbor/friend said "that's because she had a boob job and a tummy tuck." I told her it was because "I had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction." Her friends mouth dropped open and she immediately berated my neighbor!
