Um, Marin, you missed last week's episode - so sorry! Maybe Lifetime offers the repeat episodes on-line?

I'm definitely a fan. I was quite emotional towards the end - I cried and cried and cried!

I saw it last week.  Janis, I was crying, too.  Too sad.  I didn't see it ending that way.

God, I love this show - I'm weeping here, watching episode 2.

This show is so unrealistic, these women would never be friends. But it's so much fun.

Marin - hope you are glued to your set, as well - unless you're out on a hot date.

Okay, so I cried a the beginning but was very disappointed in the pg woman and her not having an abortion despite really wanting one! I know it's not pc to have/talk about abortion but it never fails that programs present women 'in a quandary' and then they end up having the baby! Grrrrr! Yell

Other than that, I like the show simply because it has women being friends - which we SHOULD be, no matter what.

Ooooooh, yes, I saw last week's episode and then this week's, back-to-back! And I was definitely glued! Never a dull moment for these babes, huh?

I found 2 things irritating though...the radio lady rambling on & on with her pop philosophy. I mean I get that this is the vogue way to narrate a show (like Meredith on Gray's or even the woman on Desperate Housewives), but she didn't come up for air! The other thing was that Evelyn wasn't even grieving over her sister but, instead, got homesick for Mom...huh?

Regardless though, I love these chicks.....especially Roxy! And the men aren't hard on the eyes either Wink!

Marin, I agree about the "radio lady" bit. It seemed out of place. The second episode was a bit more 'normal' but it does seem the directing (editing?) is different but that may just be my misperception. As for the young sister, wouldn't she want to be with her mom? The that situation was weird but I didn't think it too abnormal. I'll still watch the show when I remember that it's on. Sunday's during the summer tend to be busy, KWIM?

She said she "thought she could cry" at the other house.  I suppose she felt that with her parents grieving and "arguing"... her mom falling apart at the PX, that she needed a place to let go instead of "holding it together" for everyone else.

the new one is on Sun, but it repeats on Mon.

I see 2 shows on my list for sun and I think one is a repeat from the previous week followed by the new one.

I caught it last night, thanks!

I thought the part with Claudia, at the end, teaching her daughter about the clutch and gas, with her hands was neat ... I wish I could remember to use that ananolgy when my daughter gets to be of driving age:  you have to trust, you cannot move forward until you trust.

Is it just me, or is this season not as much fun?

I need more sex and backstabbing - people in terrible grief aren't fun -- and ...

Would someone please tell that bar owner about state Medicaid programs for people with breast cancer!

Sue...I totally agree! If I want to see grief, I have many real life opportunities. "Sex and backstabbing"....indeed! And that bar owner is a pain-in-the-ass with all of her false bravado and crap. I'd sock her one! Oh, but perhaps that's not the way of compassion...ya think? Wink

Yeah, I want Roxy's man back and the nurse to get into it with someone-not-her-husband and Joan & hubby to get down to it. Maybe Claudia Joy will have an affair in order to recover from her grief? Juicy stuff....that's what we need!

Previews look like Roxy's husband gets hurt.  I hope not, I don't want to see her cute hubby having injuries from a bomb ... this is tvland, not real life!  And the bar owner, I can't stand grumpy on the outside, soft mushy saddened on the inside.

I am afraid to read all your posts until I catch up.  I decided to buy season 1 last week and check it out to see if I liked it.  I have shed so many tears watching this show.  Reminds me of my life as an Army wife.  I was a high ranking NCO wife for 7 years and loved every minute of my life.  They have really portrayed the comradary well with this show.  It has also made me miss my husband so bad, he passed away 9 years ago.  I tell you, it is something else.  Now with my son in Iraq, watching these deployments and having sent my son back to Iraq from a 3 week leave last week, just breaks me up.  My son was back 1 day when 3 of his unit members were killed by a roadside bomb.  Not one of them older than 21 and all with wives and children.  I am sooo hooked to this show and just watched episode 1 of season two on line.  My tears are just rolling down my face.  Just so much saddness yet I can't pull myself away.  I guess I'm not really saying anything but expressing my saddness.  Thank you for the place to vent this because it has been a long time since I really cried about my husband and now my son messed up in this.  It can be a fine life yet such a heartbreaking life........

    (((LuAnn)))

Watch if you have to - maybe you just needed a good cry (or two...).

I missed last week's episode because I was out of town but will definitely watch it tonight.

the episodes are online on the army wives website, that is how I caught the first episode, going to try and watch the other two today and then watch it tonight.  As much as I cry it reminds me of good times in my life.  The one thing that is so fake though is the officers wives and enlisted wives (especially roxy, her husband being a lowly E3) is not real.  Officers wives are not allowed to fraternize with the lower enlisted ranks like that.  It is the job of the First Sgts or Sgt First Classes wives to be friendly and supportive.  I couldn't imagine any birgader generals wives even acknowledging and private first classes wife, just doesn't happen!  Oh well, the show is still good and close to the lifestyle.

Okay, so this show makes me cry, too! I cried a lot when I watched the repeat of last week's episode and then cried again at the end of this week's episode! (what a cry-baby)  So, it's not all 'real life' but it sure is good!

LuAnn, I did the same thing with "China Beach"---watched it even tho it tore me up.  I am glad you are reminded of good things but my heart goes out to you watching your son go back to Iraq.

After Nam, I have to admit that I was not too upset that my son tore up his knees playing soccor in high school.  I should be ashamed to say that, being a vet myself, along with my dh and brother, but I brought home a lot of injured from Nam and that's just how I feel.

Please know, I fully support our troops, all around the world, but detest that they are in harm's way.

And you are so right about the TV's not getting it right--seems to happen no matter what they present, literary license, I suppose.  I cringe at medical shows, and then laugh out loud at some of the mistakes.

I was talking with an older lady about the show today in the chemo room and she is just amazed that people would talk about a sex life in public!  She asked me do people really discuss what they do with thier husbands with other people.  LOL  I told her it was just to spice up the show because I think she would die of embarrassment of ladies talking about their hot nights of sex!
