    Hi Ladies,

    I am soon to begin my fourth of six treatments. Has anyone else suffered extreme GI tract problems. I am living on Senokot and Milk of Magnesia. My bowels have gone on strike!

    Hi mjb.....I did your regime last year and I did have constipation.  I found miralax around my 4th treatment and it worked beautifully...I started it a few days BEFORE chemo and kept it up for a few days after.  In fact...we always have it in the house now...great little product!  It's over-the-counter now too!  Hope this helps you....

    Yes - I am getting #6 on Monday and I started taking  2 senokot only day after chemo and then for two days.  So far that has been working for me.  If I feel constipated, I do take the senocot but only one a day.  The main problem I am experiecing now is indigestion and I can't seem to wear any shoe that is comfortable or doesn't cause blisters.

    When I was going through GI hell, I tried using aloe vera juice. So many of the gals in my support group swore by this. You could ask your Onc. or NP if they think this would help.

    I had this cocktail last year.  I took senna at night and colace in the morning for the duration.  I also began pepcid at about tx 4

    I'm surprised so many of you get constipated on this.  I have had 4 out of 6 and I get horrible diarrhea with each and every one.  It's to the point where Im on potassium because the diarrhea has depleted it in my system, plus I automatically get scheduled with 3 IV's for the dehydration.  That sure shows that we're all different!!  Good luck mbj through your last few tx's.
