Hi Gals:
This is for those of us who have moved on
and.. about colour
I feel like having a change
and now have the brown (warm) and blonde
bleached pieces which have become too light
and draining
It was suggested to me
copper.. yes Ive had copper in
past years (when younger) but
hesitate.. hard to keep, hard to get rid of
but.. lots of fun
any comments welcomed
as I know we have adventurous gals here..
tia..
have to be careful
Hugs, Sierra

Sierra...I have no idea how old you are or what your skin coloring is like, but I do think that as long as you stay with a warm copper, it could be flattering and fun. The harsher reds and burgundies, in my opinion, are only for those born with red hair or who are "winters" in coloring.

Sierra, why don't you try a temporary rinse in copper first? That way, if you find you don't like the color on you, it is gone in a few washes.
I have a terrible time with hair coloring. My natural color is very ash brown/dark blonde but as soon as I touch it with color, it pulls lots of red. It is a big struggle to keep it toned down. You can see my current color on the makeup thread, next to last page at this writing. My hairdresser used a very neutral/ashy brown, but you can still see lots of red and it gets worse with every washing, even though I use what is supposed to be color safe shampoo. Also, the sun turns the color red. So, I guess what I am trying to say is to go slowly before you commit and HAVE FUN, for heaven's sake.

Seeing as how I just had my last tx of Taxotere/Cytoxan a week ago, I've chosen "flesh-colored" for my summer hair color.

otter- that's a beautiful color! I have the same one!!!

I vote auburn. That's what I've been wearing since I was 20. It has varied over time but now is dark auburn and I add auburn to my eyebrows to make it look even more natural.
Always do the brows, gals, it makes a huge difference.

Morning Gals:
Was nt sure this post got on here..
Thanks for your input..
re: Copper
Abba, yes, I can have that problem too
has to be a tad of copper, I actually call
it caramel.. I ask her to put a bit of that
shade in with the brown.. sometimes the copper
can go brassy
I have in past years, worn very red hair
which was fine (when younger) but not now
for me.. anyway.. (each to her own)
plus hard to keep, hard to get rid of
I notice the blonde highlights become v. washed out
in summer, almost white, which makes the brown look
darker
WARM.. Yes Marin, Warm shade is good
also my hair is much thinner now, so darker
makes it look thicker on me
Hello Otter: HOw are YOU doing?
I saved a lot of money when on TX
did not worry about my hair, and was nice
and cool, one positive side.. but enjoyed
having it back
Won't be doing anything right now
still busy here, but after will treat myself
Ps I owe some of you mail
will get to it when MOved
Be well
Hugs, Sierra
PS.. SORRY ABOUT THIS TRIPLE POSTING
GALS.. I kept entering and nothing seemed to happen
my what a day.. lost my new keys to the apt
and finally found them in a sneaker LOL>>>)
