LIFE'S A BEACH!

Open Beach * Most definitely.
Take a stroll back to the beginning of this thread and see how beautifully it began.
A most kind, gentle and loving Breast Cancer survivor started this wonderful thread to bring support and happiness to all of us here at BCO.
So read back, enjoy the wonderful posts and grab a beach towel.
We do have beach babes who are here daily so we have developed a kinship and are welcoming to anyone who is here for support and a gentle place to meet.
Just ask anyone of our beach babes.
We do miss the wonderful BC survivor who created this thread out of the kindness of her heart.

Feel the love ~ Our beginning thanks to an Angel
*
"Sisters are like angels,
they lift us up
to our own feet
when our own wings
have trouble remembering
how to fly"
Hoping you will join me here where there is nothing to do but offer love, friendship, support and fun to each other. This journey is a tough one ... let's hold each other up, laugh when we can, cry when we need to, find hope, courage, strength and love with the help of one another. Fun and laughter is important .. it's good for the soul and it's Great medicine! Looking forward to seeing good friends and meeting new ones!

Nicki,

Well the creeping crud continues to creep. Crud. WonderBoy crafted one of his first three word sentences: "Neck YUCKY, GG." He is a man of few words and very long eye lashes -- what a combination.
I continue to work on my "exit-strategy" & am sitting in my own living room as I type. Working very hard to give DD her own sense of competence and independence. As I departed she was holding her head high and serene. Happy dance!!
Realize that I need to figure out the bathing suit conundrum in the coming week. Crud squared..... but the reward is a beach, so I'm willing to conquer those floresent lights and 3 way mirrors for the carrot at the end of the stick!!
Love to each and all.
our angel was brilliant in her vision & we're so respectful of her mission..... i have a towel packed in my suitcase for her next week!

Dear Beach Goers,
As far as I can see, no has been disrespectful of the spirit and intent of this thread. I have seen numerous posts about bug exterminators and pictures of shoes smashing sand fleas, etc., by a member who joined this thread about 2/3 the way through since it's inception. Certainly that is not in the spirit of the thread Charlene created. And I have read this thread since the beginning of page 1.
I posted my well-wishes to Iris in this thread, as did others, because we know this is where she posts to her friends. Many of us have known Iris for a very long time and she has personally reached out in kindness to me on more than one occasion.
So, it is my hope we can keep the exterminators off the beach, at least when I'd like to say hello to a dear old friend or two.
Best wishes to all ... as well as love and happiness.
love,
Bren

Iris, are you going to a areunion at your high school? I went to mine last month. I saw people I had not seen since we graduated in 1968. A wonderful and sad time. Woke up the next day to learn that Bobby Kennedy had been shot.
Sheri, you youngster you!! From now on show some respect for your elders and call me Miss Cherryl!! hahahaha, just kidding!!!
Nicki, found a great "oldies" station here -- 94.7FM. Do you listen to it? Give it a try.
Off to a retirement party. See you guys later.

Hi everyone!
Hello from hot NC! Large bear is Hope, wearing my Spartan t-shirt, holding my oldest teddy bear,Tim. Tim is my age...less four months as I got him at my first Christmas. So,like all of you,Beach/bco buddies, these are special friends, too. The angels are very special, too,as well as all the neat people that have written on this thread. Most of you know how very wordy I am;but, "beary"grateful for your friendships throughout the years!
Being an only child,I have always liked big families. Last wk,another anniversary here...two yrs of membership at bco. Thank you for the support and the acceptance of a very talkative;but, very appreciative Spartanbear! Thank you, all, who have stopped by and written kind words...it means so much!
Hope all of you have had a good weekend...very hot here and may have set a record of 101. At least,we are not under water restrictions like so many months that we were. Thinking of everyone with weather-related issues,as well;so many wild storms lately.
All the best to everyone! Have a good week!

Good day to all.

Saying Hi to everyone...........storms have been aplenty so the computer is not up for long!
We got our bathroom countertop in today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heavy bugger....but I really like it! Husband even 'trusted' me to make a trip to the local hardware for a small part!! Patting myself on the back, as I actually bought the right thing!
Lovin the Aruba license plate, Faith....and also happy to hear that DD is being weaned without to much trouble. Anxiety and Panic Attacks are no fun, as I and several others can attest to.
Iris..........Pm..ing you....
Teddy Tim looks marvelous for his age........as you do!!!!!!!!! Must be the good clean living in NC!
Okay all...............thinking pleasant thoughts for everyone and hoping all have a good night!

Wheres the party! I need a get up and go party, Monday is coming and I am very glad to be able to have a beach party with all my friends,THE SUN IS OUT IN WASHINGTON! We have to hurry before it rains! I wantto thank everyone in this group for all the caring hearts. I told a friend on line I was told I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis and I am still alittle down. But I am better and see the cancer doctor the 11th to find out the rest off the tests and make some changes. I miss little cuties here. Thanks everyone for caring. Angel hugs to all and extra to ones that need them! Luv, Debbie
-
OK. I've created confusion. Still one week to go before lift-off for Aruba. Was able to find the license plate in photo-bucket..... just to tantalize myself.
And I love the message:

So happy when I connect with other Door's fans. I've been one forever.
Take care!
-
A little trivia.
Did anyone watch the "Bachelor" reruns shows last week?
I saw the end of a couple and noticed the same girl on two different shows.
I guess that happens.
Anywho, I found out that not one of the "bachelors" has married the girl they chose.
Unlike the "Bachelorette"
Just a tiny bit of trivia for anyone who watches.
Lucky us as we have all our beach guys.

Freebies.

I loved Val Kilmer and Meg Ryan in this "Doors" movie,Sahalie and blue dahlia!
I am working on my Fourth of July outfit,Sahalie...and the menu. You know me,there has got to be lots of friends, food and fun! Thank you for the bear pics as I am a bearyhappy collector of bears...bears,bears,everywhere....almost!
I do not watch TV much and not sure abt "The Bachelor" shows. However,I love the bachelor buttons. My mother used to grow some,at our home in Alabama,so many moons ago. Beautiful flowers, though and what great memories they bring...thanks so very much!

That was a great performance by Val Kilmer. Very scary how he managed to portray the character so keenly.
"Let's swim to the moon,
Let's climb through the tide,
Penetrate the evening that the
City sleeps to hide."
Besides the fact that he was gorgeous, he sure had a way with words and the IQ to match (149).

-
Off to the beach bon fire.
Goodnight all.
-
OK...I am so there,as it is cool and there is an ocean breeze...I have on a sweatshirt and friends are having a blast!(this is not a NC beach,today....but,one day, sometime soon?)
Good Night...all Beach/bco/bear buddies! See you tomorrow and sleep well.

I've been lurking a long time and it's so simple to see
there are those who come here to simply annoy
this beach is about real friendships, genuine and true
not for those who get pleasure from taking one's joy
So go NNN, Blue, Cherryl, Sherri and Bren
back to the Circle of pure evil and sadness
invite others there if you wish to speak to them
don't soil this beach with your unfeeling madness
You're not welcome here because you're responsible
you may not hold yourself so but others always will
be respectful to who you threw out like some trash
a young bc sister in need of support and care still
Sahalie, be careful of Blue she's just mean, a weird one who is only here to be a pest. Trust me on this. You on the other hand, are a doll.
Faith, you're a wonderful friend to so many. Thank you for just being you.
Wings, FootprintsAngel, Amy, Neesie, Jaz, Susan, Margo, Iris please help to keep the beach clean. Those here with ulterior motives need to be dismissed. For angel, and the spirit of this beach. No pirates allowed.
