Finally settled lawsuit
Comments

Someone had inquired about my lawsuit over fall I sufferred last year. Just thought I'd give an update. A settlement was finally reaxched. His Homeowners agreed to pay. By the time the lawyers, the insurance and the court costs were paid, there wasn't a lot left over. But after 16 months, I am tired of dealing with it. I have to spend my energy on repairing the damage still left from the accident. He didn't have to pay anything - basically got off scott free. But you know what they say about Karma. His problem down the line - not mine.
Hope all of you are doing well.

Niki - I'm glad that the lawsuit is over with and that you can focus on healing now. I really wish that the settlement would have been larger an that the guy felt some pain and had to step up and accept responsiblity for the accident. You're soooo right though - it will catchup with him somewhere down the road.
It's great to see a post from you....

Niki-
Thanks for checking in and updating us. I think of you often and do hope your body can heal. You suffered too much because of that idiot neighbor.
hugs,

Glad it's settled. I'm sure his insurance rates will go up dramatically - he won't get off scot-free.

Thanks Ladies,
Good to see your names too. Been too long.
Lilia - we really need to catch up, don't we.
KariLynn, Doreen, Donna, how are all of you doing?
Sorry I haven't kept up. Not because I don't care - but even after 16 months, I am just too overwhelmed just trying to deal with and recover from the accident. I go to see a neuro surgeon next Tuesday. Other ndrs. think I may need brain surgery. So, kind of scary - not sure what to expect. But when your back is against the wall and there is only one way to go - what can you do but go that way. Sigh! I am really tired of all of this. The tests, doctors who can't figure it out but don't tell you that. Or drs. who try but are in over their heads and don't tell you that until you've been gouged, poked and emotionally shoved around. And my fav kind of dr. - the superior kind who really doesn't give a dammmmm! Oops! Sorry - someone keeps opening that vent and letting a lot of hot air blow out.
Anyway, nice seeing your posts. I don't post much anymore and seldom lurk much either. I miss the friends I found here. You are always in my heart. And I always wish you the best.

Niki, glad that part's behind you, and brava for your perseverence and fortitude!
But, oh man, I'm so sorry about the run-around on treatment, and the scary things ahead. Praying this neurosurgeon will be someone you can trust, and that he has great, non-invasive ideas about how to proceed. It's all been waaaaay too long.
Think about you often, Niki. Thanks for checking in. Please let me know how I can help.
Prayers, hugs,
Binney
