I can't get my act together and I don't know why

Sue, I think it is fine to go out wearing what you had on. I'm sure that you looked great. My MIL had BC for 30 years, first one mastectomy and then years later another one and she went out many times with no bra and boobs. She was a women of great courage and grace. I wish that she was alive now to help me go through this. Her life was full of humour. And she always had a good time at any function. She always told her son and me that when she was gone that there was going to be nothing left of any money, only the house cause she was going to spend it all. And you know what, she did. She spent all of the money on trips, clothes, redecorating her house, and entertainment. She was just a HOOT. The life of the party.
Shirley, Dinner was no big deal. DD had a wild friend over so it was hotdogs and hamburgers. Now she wants to go to bed as she has been running wild all day in the back yard. Oh to be young again.
But for lunch, my DH (and he is a way better cook than me) made for me crepes with vanilla yogurt in them and for the sauce over them was a mixture of fresh apples and strawberries cooked in a pan on top of the stove with a warm sauce. OMG, were they good. I told him that he could make that for me anytime. He used to always make this for me when we were dating. Sounds kind of cool to invite a date over for some homemade crepes, and HE does the cooking. The way to my heart is through my stomach!!!LOL.
Back to work tomorrow for 4 days and then exchange surgery booked for Friday this week. I am anxious and nervous at the same time. Hope that they will be the right size, not too big and not too small. Oh, the things that we think about now. I just want some boobs for the beach this summer.
Hope everyone has a good Monday, No Cleaning Please!!! Let the Dust Bunnies grow and they can eat the crumbs on the floor!!!!
Kerry
-
Kerry,
Good luck on your new boobs (God, that IS a weird sentence). Hopeyou can keep up the cleaning strike, I always get about three days into it and then look around and realize it's not bothering anyone but me.....
Tired, had a busy day, going to bed...
Love,
Sue
-
Sue, Thanks for the good wishes. I just hope that they are SOFT. That would be lovely.
Kerry
-
Hope I don't get booted off this thread, but I have to clean today... we are having some friends visit from Florida, and I better get busy!!
Harley
-
Harley, nobody's booting you anywhere!!!
Love,
Sue
-
Harley! Do what we do! HIDE the mess and serve up spiked lemonade! Just kidding of course! SOrry you have to clean. Takes all the fun out of loafing hey? Geesh....maybe if you don't clean, they'll feel sorry for you and hire a cleaning person?
We could only hope huh?Anyway...you can't get kicked out of here, or we'd be bored silly lady! We'll be here when you need a break from cleaning and or entertaining!

-
Sue, gosh, I want some of that left-over banana pudding! You can't post a recipe like that when 3 pkgs of Pep. Farm cookies costs more than dinner around here! It did sound soooo good!
And hey - I don't have a dishwasher either - my 1914 Craftsman Bungalow probably has a lot in common with your old farmhouse. No closets to speak of, right?
And I hang out all my laundry - don't even own a clothes dryer, But then again, I do live in San Diego, that does make it a bit easier.
And I know I'm a little late Shirley, for your 'what'cha making for dinner?' inquiry, but tonight we're having crabcake sandwiches, corn and black bean salad (salsa and cilantro being major players) with avocado and sliced tomato from the Farmer's Mkt. on the side. Fudgesicles for dessert - daughter's request and cheeep!
hugs to my sistahs!
Lisa
-
Oh, Lisa, I want that dinner...you just get yourself raht out cheer to Texas and cook for me, hon. Yep, no closets. But that gives you a reason to buy antique armoires....My house is SO not a victorian beauty. It's a farmhouse, nothing fancy. It does still have a dinner bell in the front yard and an old round rock well-house. Have you had to do any remodeling (or un-remodeling, as the case may be?)?
Kerry, I hope your new boobs are soft, too. (That is another very weird sentence......)
Hope everyone has a great evening with no housework,
Love,
Sue

Hi, everybody. Again, just checking in to say hi. We're working like fools and no time to come up for air. I didn't get home until 2 a.m. this morning and had to be back here at 10:30 a.m. and it's an hour and a half drive. Today, I look as bad as my house. Didn't even bother with makeup. Talk about haggard. ugh.
I miss my slobby sisters.
-
Man! It's a wonder you don't forget where you are going after no sleep and driving that distance! What is it you do again? Never mind, even a mindless would be hard at those hours!
sorry you have to do it! But glad you checked in! -
hi, wishiwere. i work for the senate. when we're in session, we often have very long hours....and i DO feel mindless today.
-
I don't have time to be slack...LOL I hope to be back here Monday or Tuesday.
Okay, Patrice, are ya'll (in the Senate) arguing over the Lieberman-Warner Bill? I need to watch CSPAN. I still think you ARE a Senator or an advisor to the president or someone else who's very important.

Getting ready to leave for Charlotte tomorrow and I can't get my act together. I hate packing and doing all kinds of stuff before leaving. I'm sure glad I wasn't Traci and moving to Texas!
Shirley
-
Hi, Shirley. Yes, we're working on that. And we just a few moments ago passed the farm bill (again.) LOL@my supposed titles. How scary would that be...........or perhaps not.
If you had turned on C-SPAN this morning, you would have seen me down there on the floor with no makeup and hair that can only be described as tragic.I haven't read back yet, so not sure why you're going to Charlotte, but I hope you have a wonderful long weekend.
-
Patrice, I mean, even a mindless job would be difficult, but you know...this mindless woman forgets to add her thoughts when typing at times!

Shirley, enjoy your time and remember my motto! If you forget it, you can buy it when you get there!
I just don't worry about it when packing anymore, b/c it's just one more thing that isn't important, you know? Clean undies and socks, changes of clothes, clean tennies for running the neat little shops and I'm good to go!

Hi Ladies,
Am off to surgery again tomorrow for the exchange surgery. No cleaning for me. Taking off 2 weeks from work, I hope that is enough.Everyone in my family is irritating me. Must be nerves. I may need to borrow the shovels in GSG's back yard for the DH. I swear that he has lost all of his brains in the last 12 hours and I could just trade him in on another model. DD is being a pill and the Dear Mother is just as bad. Only one with a brain is ME!!!!! This sounds like PMS!!!! And it is getting worse by the minute for me. I need a drink. Maybe I SHOULD go over to the drinking thread.
Take Care,
Kerry
P.S. Got my hair done today and I heard at the hair salon that Ivana Trump married a HOT YOUNG LATIN MAN. I may need one of those.!!!!!
-
Kerry! Good Luck with the exchange tomorrow! Hoping all goes well and no glitches or pains!
New hair, sounds like a new man is next in the line of needs hey?
-
Good luck to you, Kerry. Wishing you much success and little or no pain with your surgery and that everyone around you will STRAIGHTEN UP!
p.s. The shed is unlocked.
-
W/GSG! Lady, it's always a riot waking up to your wit!
And Kerry, if I'm closer, my shed is never locked either, have at 'er! Just remember to put them back clean please? Not sure I want body parts reminders when digging my plants up!

-
wishiwere,
you're either in it for the long haul with the shovels, and will clean them yourself including incinerating anything incriminating, or you're not!!! Which is it?
Love,
Sue
P.P.S. Kerry be careful of the young Latinos....hope things get better for you at home and no complications with your surgery. -
See, the thing is, if I try to clean them or burn the parts, my nosy neighbors would be over asking what I'm doing? Whereas if a person say were to borrow them and just return them clean to their proper place, the nosies would think nothing of it! I mean, they use them as much as anyone in my family borrowing them! With 2 acres, wouldn't you think I'd have enough room to stay clear of neighbors?
Oh, btw, the shed is on the opposite they are located too, so it's easy access without them seeing you. Just the hose and firepit are closer to them!

IF I really had, I suppose I could do it. But I get caught with pieces and parts, I hope you all will be there for me writing letters in my defense and sending me smokes in prison, right?
-
Kerry, just sending good wishes your way, I hope all goes smoothly.
Isabella.
-
OMG you guys crack me up. I had to turn away to keep from spitting coffee all over my screen!
Kerry - Although hot and young sounds interesting, I just wish I could get things back together enough to be interested in the old one I've got. Hope surgery went well.
Sue - Something tells me you intend to make history. . .LOL!
GSG - Can't wait until you dig yourself out of work and rejoin us. Work sucks, but it's a necessary evil.
-
wishiwere,
We will send you smokes in prison. We will send you young, handsome Latinos in prison.
We will make you our bald, Symmetrical leader.
Love,
Sue
-
You mean I have to shave my head again! Come on! It's just made the over the inch line! Give me some slack here! I was hoping to keep this a bit and maybe let it grow out so I don't like my dd's little boy cousin anymore!??? Pretty please? I can keep my hair?
-
Thanks for all the well wishes guys!!! I am home and unable to sleep. Everything went well. No drains. I have a tight tube top on and a piece of foam that is above the foobs and in place until I have my F/U which is on June 17th, I think. The foam is to keep the implants in their place. Surgery only took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Was home by 9pm. Pain is not too bad. So far so good. DH has redeemed himself. I think that I have PMS and raging hormones and nervous all at the same time. Took a sleeping pill so hopefully I will be off to bed soon
GSG and all, Keep the shovels handy in case DH has a relapse.
Sue, If you are sending smokes and young handsome Latino guys to those who are in prison then I will be the first in line to go to prison. Sounds like too much FUN!!!
Kerry
-
Kerry,
Wait 'til your foobs are healed to go to prison. Just some advice from a person who has, for the record, never been to prison, never had fun with young handsome Latinos, but-----I used to smoke.
Love,
Sue
-
Sue,
Ya, I am the same as you. No prison, No handsome Latino guys, but I did used to smoke too. Just like your signature "Well behaved women rarely make history". Maybe it's time to make some history in my life. My girlfriend has that saying on a big magnet on the back of her car. I love it and I have asked her to get one for me. Feeling pretty good today. Pain is minimul. Have a tight tube top on and a piece of foam above the foobs and across my chest to keep them from floating up. Have to keep this on until June 17/08 when I have a F/U with the PS.
Will have to take baths and wash my hair in the kitchen sink. I am not going to worry about the size now as they need some time to settle and fluff. I only want to be a B cup or a small C and that was her prediction. So all is well today. They are SOFT!!!. Instant relief, and I am relieved that it is all over. I really dislike going under an anaesthetic. Only 1 more surgery to go on July 10th. Will be glad when all of this surgery stuff is done.
Take Care,
Kerry
-
OMgoddnes! You've got foam around you? Isnt' that hot in this heat? With these hot flashes, I'm not sure I could like in foam for 2 weeks unless I kept the A/C running ON me 24/7!
Glad to hear though that you are happy with the results and feeling well! Congrats on the stage 2 finish!

-
Wish,
Yes this is HOT. And my A/C is on as the DH put it on yesterday so that when I came home the house would be cool. Yes, he has redeemed himself. And now it is 34 degrees celcius and with the humidity they are predicting that it is about 40 out there. I am inside for the day. May have a glass of wine on the deck after dinner though. To celebrate, 3 down and 1 to go, in less than a year. This foam is going to be terribly hot. And now I need a new way of dressing because it is soo high. I tried to cut some of the height off. I think that I will wear a round high neck tee shirt and then over top a button down the front blouse and tie it at the waist to give me the puffy look. Will be wearing 2 layers though and that will be so Hot!!! Only a week and a half and I will do whatever is needed for a set of hooters now.
KerryP.S. Ladies, I may not need your shovels. I have a pond out back. Actually I have 2 ponds, one is manmade and the other one is natural but it has filled in with silt and has wild stuff growing in it. Makes me go MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!
-
I finally told dh the other night, "It's a lot easier for you to pull a sheet or blanket on, then for me to peel off a layer or two of skin!" I swear, it's a big ol' joke having hot flashes till it's under your own skin! I might be using my own shovel here at home and they may not be available for you ladies!
At least till I can get them cleaned up again :->
