Thanks for the input, SoCal.
Gorgeous photos! Where was the wedding?
-
So if you are go west after getting off 5, which side of the street is it on? I don't know why I bother asking - I'm going to get lost anyway ...
csj -
Left, across from the hospital.
-
Susan-You can't miss it. It says Today's on the side of the building. It is in the Rite Aid shopping center. Just past the freeway under pass. If you miss it you will end up in the ocean.
-
Hi girls, Brenda, you can bring the whole flipping neighborhood, remember, I had 3 boys, we want YOU anyway you can get to the lunch, bring the whole gang!
Liz, the wedding is GORGEOUS!!! Very nice photo job, too.

Hi everyone!
Hope it's not to late to join in for pizza this Saturday... sure would love to see everybody!
-
Good Morning,
I am looking forward to seeing / meeting everyone. It's been so long since I have been able to come. I am hoping that my friend, who had a mastectomy on April 18, will be with me.
Melia
-
Kim-It is never to late to join this group. Can't wait to meet you.
Melia-I am so happy you will be with us. We all miss you.
Sounds like we have a good size party going on.
-
Yep, we sure do have a good size party going on! How fun! One of my local bc buddies may be joining us as well, but she won't know until tomorrow morning. But Kaye and I will be there for sure.
-
Kim-Sorry I have chemo brain fades. I sat right next to you at our Del Mar lunch. Glad you can join us again.
-
Hi all. I don't know if I'm going to make it this time. Sorry I haven't been in touch.
I'm having a lot of pain in my hip and back. Found out through the recent scan that I have a fracture in my T5 vertebrae, which explains some of the numbness. Have been in and out of the ER three times this month with cancer related issues. Now I'm kind of stuck in the bed because the leg pain is so bad. I finally gave in and started the Fentanyl patches again... so I can't drive now. So to combat the pain I have the patch on plus I take two percocets every 4 hours.
I started radiation this week on the hip and spine and will eventually have it on my breast. She is doing the hip and spine first because I'm having so much pain. She said it should start to subside after a week or two.
I'll really try to get to the meet this month, but I don't know about a ride or if DH has to work.
Cheers, Jodi
-
I'm really sorry to hear about the fracture and the pain, Jodi. I hope the radiation helps you feel better fast.
-
Jodi-I hope you are resting comfortably today. We will miss you and your little bundle of joy at lunch. Hopefully in June we can get to the lunch and back. Tell me again what area of San Marcos you are in.

What no picture from SoCal yet? I thought sure she would beat me here.
What a great lunch today. It really was a nice place and very conducive to paying for our own meals and having a couple of kids in tow. I must say I am very proud of my 2 boys. They had excellent behavior right up till it was time to go. Once they ran out of quarters for the games and the pizza was gone they were ready to go. I let them each have an ice cream cone for a reward.
Shirlann please don't say you mixed up the days. We were wondering where you were today.
Starfish and Susan we thought you were coming to. Missed you.
For those of you who were in the discussion about how many nodes I had removed, I came home and looked again. On the first page of the path report is says 1 from right side and 6 from left. When you look further into the report is says 11 nodes removed. I think I will bring it along to the next lunch and have LisaSDCA read it for me. Can you do that girl? Also I looked at the days in hospital again since everyone thought 8 was to many. It was actually 6 days. A fog has apparently never lifted from the time.
Well now we can start looking forward to next month. June 21st. Where are we going though? Look for something in the Mira Mesa area so we can be about 1/2 way to each other as SoCal suggested.
-
SoCal-You snuck in while I was posting. Ds says "Nice picture".

Hi...Such a nice day today!
Gretchen and I enjoyed talking and visiting with everyone!
Specifically--thanks Liz for the very prompt pic--if that doesn't motivate others to join our MERRY band---I don't know what will!! Loved to see your wedding photos--nice a nice family thing--life does go on..
Jodian---we missed you sweety and send you our love and hugs for good days...
Guitargirl---I missed you--- and Shirlann---not tomorrow---OK--I hope to see you next month!
Nash---nice to see you and glad you and Kathy joined our crazy bunch!
Kim-I'm so glad you had a chance to talk to Gretchen and I know you will figure out what is RIGHT for you...that is the one thing I remember from my past experience---THAT you have to find the right path for yourself..and you will.
Brenda---what a pleasure to meet your kids---they probably said--"Who was that crazy lady"--I just love to get into that age boys #@#$@@#$... if you know what I mean---they are really great boys!!!
And Kaye--sooo nice to see you again--and thanks for coming such a long way--I have this sense that if we lived closer we might become great friends....
Melia--Gretchen and I didn't do much damage at TJMAXX's but went on to Ann Taylor---OH MY GOD---did I get some good deals... Gretchen loves to HELP me spend $$$$$!!!!
Lisa and Lisa---you guys are so beautiful and are leading the charge-----
Hope I didn't forget anyone and I am soo proud to be one of you...
We are all so lucky--to share our times...
Sylvia

Sorry guys - I really wanted to come, but it was just one of those days when the body is willing and the mind says "who are you kidding?" The daily trips to the hospital for the radiation are getting me down. I know it'll all be over in a month, but I hate driving everyday.

How does anyone feel about Mimi's Grill in Mira Mesa for June?

I like Tio Leo's.
-
OH DANG IT!!!!!
OF COURSE I mixed up the days. Even after Brenda said she needed to bring the boys and I KNOW she needs a baby-sitter on Saturday. Bwahhhhh wahhhhhh. I need a keeper.
Well, I will TRY to get out of my straitjacket and locked ward to make next months lunch. I am a caution.
Hugs, Shirlann
-
I'm not a big Teo Leo's fan. Any chance of doing Indian/Pakistani? There's one in Mira Mesa called Sitar.

-
Another idea;
Kabul West in Mira Mesa has afghani food: www.kabulwestcatering.com
-
Kabul looks really good - looks like someplace I'd like to go to anyway. Not many restaurants have that many vegetarian entrees.
I've never been to Tio Leo's so I can't comment on that. -
Kabul works for me too.
