Oh, Cristine!!  What an opportunity your neighbors have handed you!!!  What a wonderful, loud, loving-life brass band camp you can put on for them!!!

We live in an old house.  Like, 1890  old. The land around us has been developed and there are now McMansions for neighbors, and none of them will speak to us!! We have fun at their expense all the time.  Once my husband was outside and one of them came over--this was when he first moved in.  Our fence is barbed wire and old on the property line we share with this neighbor.  So he says to my dh, who has a truly weird sense of humor, are you interested in going 1/2 with me on white vinyl fencing on this property line? (His property has many restrictions, one of which is that that is the only fence he can put up---it's $10-$12 a FOOT and it's about a 300-ft. line.  Our property, OTOH, has NO restrictions).  So my dh answers, well, you know, I just don't know if that flimsy white vinyl fence will keep the hogs in!!!  I swear to you, the guy hasn't spoken to us or looked at us since, and that was five years ago!!! I LOVE IT!!!!

And, no I don't think you did badly by playing the bc card.  Those people need perspective. Imagine what life in that house is like--that guy is probably an out-of-control jerk.

Next encounter tell them exactly what you said here. They can go in their house and if this is the biggest problem they have to deal with they should feel damn lucky.

Let them know that lives little irritants seem so minute compared to health issues especially cancer and inform them that noise complaints are not taken at 7:30pm, by the police.  My dh is a cop and his city would not take a complaint about yelling children at 7:30pm.  Only if they felt the child was in danger.  Is that what the A**holes are trying to say next door????

They will get theirs!!!  I always think that to make me feel better.  Some how it does not work.  Seems the a**holes of this world sail through with no problems and only the Good get the SH*T!

Chin up girl!  I would really be steaming in your position!  Think of the video of the women punching the other and pretend it is your neighbor!LOL!

Holy cow....your neighbors SUCK!!!!! Seeing as how the b-word neighbor has already threatened a false police report, do not be surprised if they call DSS on you too. A girlfriend of mine had a minor dispute with her neighbor (who had been a friend and was also her landlord) that ended up with DSS being called and a big stinking hassle and mess. 

We used to live on a quiet little street with mostly older retired people but somehow we managed to land the next-door neighbor from hell. We're pretty sure they were cooking meth in their backyard shed--that is, before it burned to the ground. Everyone in the neighborhood knew they were dealing some kind of drugs with all the comings and goings but the county sheriff didn't seem to care. They had EIGHT mangy dogs that were pretty viscious and ran loose. The dog catcher refused to impound the dogs even after one of them attacked my son and our dog! Anyway, the drug deals seemed to go on round the clock with 2 am on a weeknight being the average. And, those druggies always seemed to have their car stereos blasting on HIGH. Well, I decided enough was enough. The mom's window faced our driveway. I set up our super-high wattage motion detector light so the sensor faced their driveway and the light pointed directly into her window. I don't know if she really gave a crap--probably appreciated the heads up that another customer was in the driveway--but it sure made me feel better to know a spotlight shone in her window every time someone pulled into her driveway. Crappy neighbors SUCK!

I think you need to set up a trampoline in the back yard and give your daughters those high-pitched train whistles. Then send them outside with rings on their fingers and bells on their toes to bounce, shout, SCREAM, and toot that whistle ALL DAY LONG. It would also be cool if you could get a recording of a high-pitched dog barking....play that all night long pointed at their house and then go out and start the lawn mower at 5 am. Of course, that should be the same day that you have the concrete guys come to repave your driveway. Make sure their truck's back up "BEEPBEEP" is working and that their job requires frequent yelling and backing up of the truck. I would then suggest you bake them a batch of pink ribbon cookies with chocolate ex-lax frosting and take them over to apologize for the inconveniences. I hear little girls LOVE to squeal and run through the sprinkler early on Saturday mornings....

Hi, everyone.  This probably should go in the "worst thing anyone ever said to you" thread, but I'm posting it here.

I went to get my teeth cleaned yesterday.  The dental hygienist started out complimenting me on how clean my teeth were and wanted to know what my regimen was so she could pass it on to other patients.  I would have gotten pretty full of myself if she hadn't followed up with asking me about my diet and she immediately in a round about way suggested I lose some weight.  She started lecturing me about healthy eating...told me how she feeds her kids soup and stuff for breakfast to avoid sugar, etc.  I ended up apologizing to her -- I can't believe I did that -- and told her how I had had breast cancer and gained a lot of weight and I've been struggling with it ever since, but that I'm swimming every day and eating mostly chicken, steamed shrimp, brown rice & vegetables.

Her response was, and this is a direct quote:  "It must be horrifying for you to look in the mirror." 

Granted, I do need to lose weight...but I look exactly as I do in my av.  I hadn't realized I was so grotesque that someone would make that comment to me.  Obviously, I'm going to request a different hygienist next time. 

I have an appointment with the dentist in July and hope I will bring it up to him, but sometimes I have a hard time with stuff like that.  I'll probably just ask for the other guy in 6 months and continue to tell everybody what she said to me.  LOL.

I haven't bitched in a while and its been building... here goes...  As some of you may know i was diagnosed with a new primary on my FIRST follow-up after finishing a brutal year with the first cancer.... so I started treatment..weekly paciltaxol... took 5 rounds of that and it wasn't working so now I'm on Gemzar/carboplatin..have had one treatment and the nulasta shot...anyway.... sorry got off track....  my bitch is when this whole cancer thing started I weighed about 125 lbs... had long curly hair, nice boobs for my age, pretty good life going on...now I weigh 150 plus lbs, bald AGAIN, have a weird rash going on which I'm sure is from the Gemzar but probably wouldn't get the onc to agree, think I getting lymphodema in my arm, none of my new bigger clothes fit anymore (which I spent a small fortune on), and oh yeah the one boob...looks so weird when I dont have the fake one on..A few friends told me dont make such a deal out of it because it probably just looks like a guy's chest so I told them news flash it looks like you had a boob and someone cut it off.... which soon I will have the other one removed,and my husband, well he's just an ass..... Oh and right before my first cancer I had almost $20,000 in dental work (had ALL my teeth crowned) ... always had issues with my teeth and finally got to a point where i could afford to do that and now 3  of them are loose.I'm tired of being bald but I dont want to wear a wig because I live in the South and it is VERY HOT and HUMID and I'm really sick of the scarves too.... Oh and the looks of pity I get from everyone because this is my second cancer in such a short time.  As far my family I know they are sick of it too but if I even mention treatment or side effects they just kind a go hmmmmmmmm... yeah.....Anyway, I'm sick of them too!!  Well  this probably doesn't make any sense so I'll just stop but if felt good to get it out......

I know Traci is en route to her new place, so the pimp slap video is unavailable, but I thought I'd post this for our special dental hygenist without an ounce of sense in her head:

What an ass! Maybe stupid and blind go hand-in-hand in her family. I'm not one to advocate violence, but I'd seriously consider taking Nico up on her offer, Patrice!  Diane is right, though: stupid is unfortunately forever...

Oh, some of this sucks so much more than anything I have to say.

Lemonpie, your story is beyond sucky.  I think if they found a tumor in my remaining boob as soon after my treatments as yours was found, I'd just go catatonic.  Don't know how I could deal with it, but I guess we have to.

Patrice, I endorse the call-out of the militia on your behalf.  But, Diane may be on to something.  Maybe you should ask for that same hygienist next time.  Then, when she has the maximum number of fingers jammed into your mouth, bite down HARD--really, really, REALLY HARD.  Once she gets through screaming, you can say, "Oh, was that your finger?  So sorry!"

I hope you find the nerve to tell her boss about the incident.  That's the only way employers find out that they've hired loser employees.  I have the same problem about filing complaints.  I'm good at telling other people about problems I've had, but I have a difficult time making anything official.

My suckiness is so minor.  My temp went up to 100.6 on Monday night (day 13 of 3rd round of TC), so I had to call the on-duty onco at my hospital.  My dh and I made quite a few phone calls and google searches before we located a business that was open and had a pharmacist on duty at 10:00 p.m. on a major national holiday.  So now I'm on an antibiotic to clear up a sinus infection before my next date with my ol' buddy, TC.

Here's a hearty "That SUCKS," to everyone.
