Hello Ladies. I am almost a six year survivor. ( I am a tri-neg.  had one positive node, 6 rounds of chemo, mastec. and oopherectomy/hysterectomy. BRCA 1 AND 2 positve.) I am very nervous. I have been having pain in my right hip for about 4-6 months. I had a MRI of my hip and it came back stating there was a "suspicious" area about an inch in diameter.  I had a bone scan in Feb. that was clear.  But, the MRI showed this area.  My doc ordered a Pet Scan.  Does anyone have any similar stories that ended up being not cancer related.  So nervous. I am 32. I have a 9 year old and 5 year old. Ugh!!!!!  This sucks!

Hi...sorry no one has posted, yet.

I am sorry I can't be of much help.  But, I DID have a lower back, hip, left buttock, pain that runs down my leg and I had an MRI of my lower back (LUMBAR), and they found that I have a herniated disc... So, it COULD be something else... I'll be praying that it's nothing serious...

When are you having your PET scan?  I'll be thinking of you, and praying that all is well...

    Hugs,

    Harley

I think the tamoxifen gals all post hip issues and I have first hand pain experience there...but it is on and off.  I think the chemo puts you in menopause and your body is beginning to act like an "older woman."

I hope and pray it is nothing, but I understand your worry and fear.  I don't know that that ever goes away.

Congrats on your 6 years!!  I have read that triple negatives, after 5 years, have a very low risk of recurrence.

    Best to you!

I too have hip pain...I can thank my mother for that one...What I couldn't get her green eyes or something else ?! lol...Anyway, I spoke to my Dr. before my BC and he said, to take Glucosimine for joint relief and I wear those Birkenstock ( not attractive but they work awesome due to my flat feet )

You should take comfort that you had scans done...My best to you !!!  Speak to your Dr. regarding some pain relief...I think I have whats called a "Bursa" sp ?

    Much LUV

So glad to hear you're fine!  I have hip pain, too - but mine turned out to be (get this!) endometreosis. They figured this out because my pain was always related to my monthly cycle.

So, now, on top of the mastectomies, I've gotta do a hysterectomy. The fun never ends!!!

But I am soooo glad to hear your great news!

    Hugs!
