    I have searched everywhere and can't find anyone taking Gemzar and Carboplatin combo.  I was recently diagnosed with a new primary on the opposite side and took 5 rounds of paciltaxol which did not work so my onc just swiched to the Gemzar/carbo but I cant seem to find anyone else on this regime.  I am soooo worried... my new cancer is triple pos. (first cancer trip neg).... but I thought Carboplatin was reserved for Trip negs.....  Anyone out there with any advice????

    lemonpie...I think you should also ask this question over on "Second or Third Cancer" or the mets/recurrence board because those women take a number of combination chemo and I'm guessing that someone will be on the same regimen as yours.

    Thanks FitChik.... I hope all is going well with you. I don't post often, mainly due to work and traveling to take my treatment, but I do try to keep up with everyone on the board.  I appreciate all your advice and admire your goals to help people maintain their health.  Wishing you the best.

    Lemonpie: I can't help you with your particular combo, but I am getting Taxol/Carboplatin/Herceptin for ER/PR-, Her2+. So it's not exclusively used for triple negative.
