    Hello ladies,

    I was diagnosed with BC in Oct 2007, I am down to my last chemo treatment in two weeks.  I had my first Lupron shot on 4/4/08 no side effects so far.  I start Tamoxifen when my chemo is complete.  I have had many issues with cysts and fibroids of the uterus and ovaries in the past.  My body produces a high amount of estrogen so my only two options were removing my ovaries or Lupron.  I do want children in the near future.  I would like to know if there is anyone in a similar situation that could offer some advise?

    Hi New0329,

    It has been a long time since I have been to this site, I need to make more time...

    I was diagnosed at 33, and have been getting qtrly Lupron injections and take daily Femara pill (not Tamoxifen) for the last 3 years.  Unfortunately, I have not had a period since early 2004, and don't know if they will ever come back.  I have been peri-menopausal since then.

    For me, my Onc wants 5 years of shots/pills....But, as I will be turning 39 next month, I have no idea if my periods will ever come back, even after I finish adjuvant therapy.

    That's my story, although not sure I was helpful...

    you should read the thread that says I'm pregnant by rels77.  She harvested eggs, then joined them with her husbands sperm, then froze the embryos... then had an oopherectomy, and finished tx, and is now pregnant.
