Hello I have recently been dignose with breast cancer "low grade". I really do not know what to think right now and I was wondering if anyone could give me some good advice. I am 25 years old with a wonderful husband and a four year old son. I would really love to hear from anyone. Thank you!

mjm, just curious, how were you diagnosed? It is so sad a lot of insurance won't pay for mammograms at such a young age, but obviously there are many young women being touched by this

    Take care---

So sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but you will find that there are a lot of young women in your position.  It's just harder to find us sometimes.  I was diagnosed last April at the age of 28, so I can relate to much of what you are going through.  You'll want to get at least a second opinion from doctors that you go to.  You'll find that no doctor will tell you what to do, they'll provide you options and you'll have to choose.  This can be frustrating, but if you go to some bulletin boards, you'll find that many women are very willing to help you with your decisions.  I found a lot of support from the Young Survival Coalition - it's specifically for women diagnosed under 40.  Hope this helps a bit.  Low grade is good news - that means it's slow-growing!
