    Hi ladies I believe this is my first post in this forum. I just wanted to ask in here since all of you were dx with IBC. I had surgery to remove a giant fibroadenoma the size of a softball with consideral amount of health tissue removed to get it all. This was December 2006. It is now May 2008 and I have been having unsual pain in that breast. The scar is still really a dark pink. I have burning pains and heat sensations in that breast. My breast will sometimes ache to the point I just wanna rip it off. Is that something to be concerned about with IBC?

    Better get back to that BS to confirm.  Maybe it's just scar tissue or something else related to that prior surgery.  Some women have pain, redness and heat associated with IBC but not all of us.  You'll feel better having checked it out.  Let's hope it's not serious.

    Thanks shrink that is all I am hoping for too. Maybe just the scar tissue or something. After my mammogram tomarrow I will know more. If there is something there then I will make an appt with my breast surgeon.

    Scar tissue formation can be very painful...

    Holly-

    I am looking for a follow-up post from you and don't see one.  Did you get the pains checked out?  After surgery, twinges and such can be caused by nerves regenerating and healing going on inside the breast. What did you find out?
