Retreats

Has anyone attended a retreat for women cancer survivors? I did attend a 3 day conference several years ago put on by Healing Journeys and it was wonderful...but expensive. They have since obtained funding from donations so they can provide it free of charge. The problem is, I live in So Cal and their conferences are in No CA or Oregon or Wash. So, the travel exp is limiting. Do any of you in Calif know of any retreats for us closer to home. This second recurrance has turned me into a "hermit" and I don't want to stay in this mood.

Hi Donna,
I also live in SoCal and attended a great retreat sponsored by Chrysalis to Wings. The retreat is held in April (you just missed it) and is held in Joshua Tree,CA. Retreat is for 3 days and is usually about $120. Scholarships are also available. I loved the retreat so much that I am now helping with the fundraising for the golf tournament in June.
Another SoCal retreat is Healing Odyssey(I have not attended, but have heard great things about it). I think there is a retreat in October.
Please email me about the Chrysalis retreat or if you have questions.

hi helen and donna,
I too live in not quite So CA, just over the grapvine north, but i have always wanted to go to a retreat, but know of none.
If you would please let me know by PM of these I would greatly appreacate it. As I feel I really need a "out" and it may help me.
Thanks

Ladies,
The Chrysalis to Wings retreat is awesome -- check out www.chrysalistowings.com. Also, just google healing odyssey and you will get more info -- both programs have scholarships that are available.
Best,
HC

Indeed, cost is a factor for all the retreats I have investigated. And when it is not cost, then it is time. Arrrgh!

I am really interested in going on one next spring when my treatment is done. Would love to hear your stories!!!
