Whoops, I ask the same question about walking in heels.
I also only wear flats, my scolosis has my balance off, heels and walking for me just don't go together. If I wear heels my back hurts so much that I can't walk.

Raye, I like your spat heels and the white patent ones.
Of course, I haven't worn heels in years. Maybe it's time to try again. Will have to buy new clothes to wear with the heels. Then, have dh take me places where I can wear the new clothes and shoes.
I think it's time to update my image. What image, you ask??? LOL
-
how cute are these pink polka dot shoes:
-
Oh, to die for! I would only need a large pocketbook with a chihuahua tucked inside and I would really be making a statement!
Seriously, they are most cute. What could you see them worn with?
-
I'd pair them with jeans, a pink tank top, with a white t-shirt over it. A little white bag, and I'd be set... They are super cute. I think I'm gonna order them.
-
I actually have a harder time walking in flats because of my high archs and flats make my achilles pull - ouch! Today I do have some cute flats on - black with some patent on the toes and tiny bows. They have some arch support, so not too bad.
Cute pink polka dot shoes. They also have some cute white shoes on VS, Beth. Did you see them?
At lunch (well, late lunch), I am heading to the Mall: Macy's (shoes), Express (work and fun clothes) and Ann Taylor (work clothes). I hope I find something I like.
-
I am loving these ... Rocket dogs from Zappos.com
-
I LOVE Rocket Dogs.
I gushed a few pages back about getting a pair of RD's from Carson's for only $20!
I didn't know they made cute heels like that! They look like I might actually be able to walk in those!
-
Rocket Dogs - I love them! Very cute!
I hate to shop, but damn, it's hard to get me out of that mall once I enter.
I bought the so-called dominatrix shoes (tina) back a few pages. Very easy to walk in and so cute on!! A couple tops and a pair of trouser jeans from Express. Fun. Now I need a cute pair of black pumps that are easy to walk in.
-
I am good for only about 2 1/2 to 3" heel ...... any more than that my balance is off since I feel like football player in heels!
-
Has anyone here worn Havaianas flip flops? They seem all over the place this year but I had never heard of them. Some are quite pricey. Is this a rip-off or is there something I am missing? They're just rubber flip-flops.
I did order some cute stuff the other day from Garnet Hill. Flouncy little skirt, embroidered retro cardigan and some Born thong sandals in aqua. I guess this is going to be my aqua year. Here they are in different colors. And the sandals. I guess you can see what kind of casual dresser I am.
-
Need help please, and I love the Havanas'. Okay I want to buy a pair of those shorts that are straight legged, and go to the knee, what are they called and what type of blouse/shirt would go well with this, I already have the belts I'm going to Red Lake and want some casual clothes but something updated. Help.
Beth I love the shoes so much, especially the gold metallic ones. Gorgeous, are they insanely expensive.
-
Snowy - I have two pairs of those shorts that go to the knee - they are called city shorts I think? I have them in black and brown.
I wear a casual white blouse with either the black or brown shorts and I have a really cute DKNY (TJ Maxx purchase), ribbed T that I wear with the black ones. I've also worn casual T shirts as well with casual sandals. Nice thing about them, you can dress them up or down. I love them.
A little thing I learned today about online shopping. Yesterday, I went to Macy's and saw some cute shoes, but they didn't have my size. Went to Zappos.com, they were $83.00. at Macy's, I believe they were maybe $79.00. I went directly to the source, Nine West's website and got them for $59 + tax = $64.17 with free shipping. Sometimes going directly to the source is the way to go...sometimes.

The shoes are totally inexpensive! Believe it or not they are from the Jessica Simpson line, and you can get them at Macy's or online at www.victoriassecret.com

Pearl...Those are city shorts, as Raye said. I wear them a few times a week at least, as an alternative to skirts and dress pants at work. I have 4: white, light grey, black and tan. They're really versatile too and can be worn year-round. I wear little Ts or blouses in the summer and sweatrers with them in the winter. Very comfortable and stylish-looking, I think.
I love all the shoes you all are checking out. I'm so tall (5'7") that it's hard for me to wear 4" heels on dates. But I could wear them to work....its just that my office is sort of casual....

Havainas are made from recycled tires..they are great - I have them in every shade/color/pattern lol
Very comfortable!!!!!!!!!!1
-
Well, MLE, tell me if they are different in "feel"/comfort, etc. from the garden variety CVS type of flip-flop. I'm all for cute, but.....$$$???
-
I find them much more comfortable - the straps never hurt and they are very soft and non rigid
-
Here Beth..white sandals..

I went on zappos.com and found so many shoes I like that I couldn't decide which to get. It was like going to toys r us as a kid... How can you leave with just one toy?
decisions, decisions.

Thank you ladies, city shorts, man have I been out of it for awhile, wow. I love the ideas that you all gave me, and I actually went to H&M today and bought to pair of pants but holy shit I'm a size 6, some stuff in 4, I thought I lost weight guess I didn't. So all my old stuff has to go as they are all 0's or 2's. The pants I bought are linen on pair in a dark tan and the other a blue black and they roll up into capris are a really light fabric so they will be comfy for summer. But I love the look of the City shorts so I'm so happy to know what they are called now. And Beth I had no idea they were Jessica Simpsons' line they looked so expensive, I saw some of her line on the view and was impressed and she mentioned price and that she was keeping the prices low but wow those shoes ROCK! Now where the heck am I going to find Havanas in Canada, will have to search on line. I'm finally getting excited about my trip to Red Lake I just can't wait to see everyone and get the Red Wine out and start yacking. I lived there 26 years, raised my sons there, was a fire fighter there and the tax collector, but everyone still liked me, I was a kind but firm collector. Oh man I am getting excited, my sister has never ever gone on a girls only trip before and she told me today she was so excited about it she felt like she was going to vomit. Boy did I laugh, I told her to go outside late and scream it out loud, that should relieve the nausea from excitement. (The cops coming because a crazy lady is screaming in joy at the top of her lungs) Oh man that picture is just to clear I have to call her back and tell her not to..
-
H&M sizes are cut small in my opinion, so don't despair if you have to go up a size.
Sounds like you are going to have a great time on the trip! Take plenty of pics.

Does anyone know when VS has their bra sale(s)? I need a couple new ones and don't want to pay full price, of course.
(Whoops, never mind. I looked two days ago and they were full price online. Today, big sale!!! Go there if you're in the market for undies.)
-
ooo, I do need undies and some cute summer pjs. Maybe pajamas are on sale as well?
got my buckly dominatrix shoes on today, Tina. Watch out boys.
-
Now I know that I've always been a huge proponent of VS, but I've got to report becoming disillusioned with the quality of their stuff, especially the bras. I have several "standard" (Very Sexy padded plunge) bras in every color and they start to wear out after only a year or so. I'd expect bras that cost $40-50 and receive only the best of care (hand wash and line dry, delicate soap) to lat longer! I've begun buying some cute, very comparable bras in Target (Gilliam O'Malley) and they look the same and are really lasting! I think I'm going to be somewhat more discerning about where I buy my lingerie from now on. But for baby dolls and the really sexy stuff, VS still has some enticing items. This was my last purchase:
I bought it in white....it is gorgeous!

-
OMG, Marin, you wear THAT???!!! Isn't it a bit, uh, breezy?
(It really is very secksy, girl. YOU are too hot to handle. LOL Talk about watch out, boys. That's for you, Raye.)
To tell you the truth, I've just been throwing my bras (Ipex, no wire)in the washing machine in a net bag. One per bag, pre-hooked so they don't catch anything, and rolled a bit so one cup kind of fits into another. No complaints so far (since last September) and with only four to rotate, they get a good deal of washing. I figure I just cannot cope with hand washing and having undies hanging over my bathroom every day.
-
LOL Tina!
Marin - it is beautiful and very sexy indeed!!! What's up with the model - is she plastic? Look at that face.
-
Thats a gorgeous nighty, I used to always wear longerie (sp) like that, it's been awhile though. And I miss it. One day I will again, just need to feel sexy again and that hasn't come back yet. The model looks likes she's got the Mineral Makeup on and the Mineral glow with a good helping of smashbox photofinish on her.
She's probably only 17 years old as well, I wish they would show older models someone with more character that does look to plastic.
VS usually has their sales on in July I'm sure of that because I've always missed them getting to the States in June or August. Still haven't bought my city shorts yet, feel like a cow, my soap water hasn't worked for four days now and my tummy is like a drum again. I was so happy the peglite was working then it just seemed to stop. So I have to change my diet to more fruit and salad I have to lose this belly in two weeks for my holiday and get my insides working on time for my holiday or I'm going to be so uncomfortable the whole time. Oh how much are the Havanas, I love them but if they are expensive I will wait and see if I can get a pair of Dunhills in Red Lake they are the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn and I have a bad back with sciatica and boy I felt like I was walking on a cloud. Beth did you get your shoes yet, how do they feel. The are so cute and sexy at the same time. I wish they sold Jessica's line in Canada but they don't yet. Oh well
-
Let's see if this works:
http://www.victoriassecret.com
After posting about VS, I found an ad for the sale in my inbox! I will say that the babydoll dress AND the babydoll tops are very nice....I might have to consider a few more items....?
I agree about that model..she doesn't even look human....or of age!

YooHoo, girls, I went shopping in Portland, ME yesterday (gorgeous day on the water! Went to Maine Cottage, too.) and bought myself a pair of those Havaiana flip flops (gold metallic skinnies). I am too cool for school.
Pray that I will not fall out of them and break my neck.
