Anyone want a free bathing suit?

Last month my girlfriend bought me a Lands End mastectomy bathing suit in a lovely aqua shade. It is a size 6 and too small for me. I would gladly pay postage and mail to anyone who could use. It has never been worn and is in the original plastic bag. Send me a PM and this suit will be on its way to you!

Tina,
What a nice offer to share with someone. Unfortunately, the last time I was a size 6 was 10 years ago! I hope the swimsuit finds a good home..

Tina,
That is so nice of you to offer this swimsuit to someone! I wish I was a sz 6, but that was many, many years ago and probably will never happen again! I hope someone sees this that can benefit from it. Thanks for being so thoughtful! Kathy
-
Tina,
Is it a tankini or one piece?
-
It is a one piece. Here's the info from the plastic bag. You could look on LE's website to see it. I believe she got it on clearance or overstock, but you can see them in the regular swimsuit section. Maybe the color was discontinued. Hope the info below helps.
Womens Mastectomy Tugless Tank
SKU 2047831
Style 92034
Color is Turquoise
Sorry, I don't know how to do a link, but here's the Land's End page with the suit. (It's probably just as easy to go to the site and search for mastectomy bathing suit.)

Oh my! Turquoise is my favorite color! Too bad I passed up being a size 6 a long time ago! LOL Good luck finding someone for it. What a generous person you are! Hugs!

I am a tankini girl but hopefully someone will come along who prefers a one piece.

Someone has just accepted the bathing suit! I'm so glad to be able to pass on this wonderful gift.

How generous of you.

Hi Tina,
my friend just had a double mastecomy on 5-5-08. I am trying to help her find out about getting breast implants that go in a bra or a cami. All the info that she got from the hospital they cost so much money. Do you know what woman do with their's after they have plastic surgery? Thanks so much Amanda

Amanda. her Dr should have given her a prescription for prothesis... she should get fitted, her insurance should cover them..... some American Cancer Society's have them also.... I do have a few in my "BC Closet" , I use them for women without insurance..
good luck
PS anyone with extra in your drawers..let me know, women in need can use them...

Amanda,
Since she's had a double, she could use foam forms instead of silicone, since she doesn't need the weight for balance. I'm a single mast, and I did get a silicone form. I'm only an A on my remaining side. I find the silicone form pulls my bra down more on the mast side, so that side hangs lower. Plus it makes me perspire. I got some foam forms, and they're a lot more comfortable, it doesn't make me sweat. Plus I'm now even. You can get the foam forms a lot cheaper then silicone.

Darn, I just tried to post an answer to this and I must have deleted it! A quick recreation of the message:
Amanda, how nice you are to help your friend find these these forms. It's a pain after surgery to get around and try things on, but something we often forget ahead of time.
I purchased a post-surgery camisole that included fiberfill forms. I purchased at a mastectomy/wig shop and it was partially covered by my insurance. Didn't require pre-cert or script and the gals at the store took care of the whole thing.
I'd offer to give your friend my inserts, since I bought the cami mainly for the drains and have never used the forms. However, as I am just starting my expansion process, I have no idea what to expect and not sure if I may need some fill to even out things at some point. I am four weeks out from my bilat mast and just had my first fill yesterday. I'm still a newbie when it comes to this part of the process.
i wish you luck in helping your friend.
Tina
