I was just wondering.....

Hey folks, I'm jumping over from 'waiting for results', which thankfully last week were b9.  I have (a) question(s) though, and thought maybe one of you could help me.

One of my sisters was diagnosed with bc 3 years ago yesterday (and is doing extremely well, thankfully), so I there is at least that family 'history.'  My results read fibrocystic changes (I'm 42, so it happens), with 'Fibroadenomatoid' and also 'apocrine metaplasia.'

Anyway, I've been trying to find stuff online about either of those definitions, and the one for fibroadenomatoid comes back only with hyperplasia, and the apocrine metaplasia comes back being associated with bc later.

I told my sister yesterday what I went through (she was a little annoyed that I didn't tell her-but hey, why worry her for nothing?).  She said she had something that she could look this stuff up with, but I was wondering if any of you could clue me in or have any experience in this.

    Thanks.  Pace, Jamie

Hi Jamie, I am so happy you got b9 results. My biopsy read the same but I also had atypical cells in there too. I have used the following link which has a lot of info on it. Under each "issue" there are studies adn links to other sites. I hope it helps. If it doesn't come up right then pm me and I will send it another way. Good luck to you.

Thank you so much for that link-it was very helpful.  The rest of the stuff I found online more or less showed these things as the next link to breast cancer-the site you gave me certainly settled my fears.

Because of my sister, the age I had my first pregnancy, fertility drugs, etc., I will remain vigilant, however, reading this made me feel so much better.

    Thank you again.  Pace, Jamie

    Hi Jamie,

I was looking for info and googled your biopsy results. I clicked on something that looked like your results and guess what? It was your question to breastcancer.org. How funny. So happy you are okay and me too.

She's my sister, I love my sister.  Yes, that was from Barney!

Thank you to my sister Barbara-my source of strength, encouragement, bravery and love my entire life.
