Robin Roberts went "topless" today!!!

Yay for our girl, Robin, who did a short piece today about her bald head, and after the piece was over, the camera went to a wigless Robin.
I'm so freakin' proud of her! It's awesome that she did it, and I am glad she felt like it was time. Good for her!
-
Wasn't that cool? I was so proud of her!
-
Rock on Robin. Sorry I missed it!!
-
Here I thought you meant she whipped her shirt off LOL. I'm all for wigless, there's nothing to hide.
-
I saw it & Thought it was Wonderful. I was proud of her too.
I love Robin & Always have.
-
Just turning on the late feed of GMA to watch it. She also went topless for the fashion show, her dare, and she looked beautiful, my head never looked as smooth and beautiful. I always some scraggly hairs all over. She's amazing I wish I had her energy so much.
-
I just saw it online. Fabulous!!! It really brings it all back to me. That fear going topless for the first time and the feeling of strength that came with it. Thanks for sharing, Robin!
-
I was late for work because they kept hinting about it and I needed to see if that was what was coming. It was worth being late for! Robin is one awesome sister!

I feel a little jealous (haven't yet seen her...) because I KNOW she is so beautiful and she will look even more beautiful (spelled BRAVE) topless. She is awesome! My head always looked a little funny and mis-shapen and flat with no hair. Can't wait to see the video. She is so inspirational and awe-inspiring...
just saw the video. I cried silent tears of remembrance. I cried again when I heard the song - I never heard it before. It was wonderful. Does anybody know the artist? Is this her own song or did she write it for someone else?
-
You Go Robin,
She is an inspiration to us all
-
That song was beautiful, I agree! I had never heard that before, and it brought tears to my eyes too.
Funny how we kind of "re-live" the experience through other sisters, isn't it? It totally brought me back to the first time I went "topless," just weeks after chemo. I wasn't all that excited to do it, but it was about 1000 degrees outside, and I had no desire to wear my hanky-hat in that weather.I went to the grocery store, and got the looks of pity, the looks of, "boy are you brave," the looks of wonder, and the looks of "I don't want to see you so I will look away...."
I had patches of hair, but patches of baldness, too. I hated when everyone said, "You look so CUTE with such short hair!" Give me a break.
I wonder how many times Robin has heard that since yesterday! I much preferred when people didn't even acknowledge the hair issue.Did anyone see "Desperate Housewives?" Lynette went "topless" on this week's episode. Her hair is fuzzy, but also quite even. What is up with that?!?! How many of us had such lovely re-growth?!?!?
-
The song is by India Arie - I don't know the name though! If anyone finds it please post it here. It's a great song and I'd love to use it for our Relay For Life survivor lap!
-
the song is called 'I Am Not My Hair'
-
Thanks - just downloaded it...........
-
I'll have to go to that website, cause I missed it!!
You know, everyone told me that I had 'a perfectly shaped, round head'... that didn't make me feel any better, I gotta say!!!Hugs

Wow! She looks great! Her hair looks like she cut it that way on purpose. On the video, she said her mom said she looks like a little greek boy but no way!! She is a wonderful inspiration!
-
Robin, you look like a hottee. Way to go.
Rocktober, is that your freakin' hair?!?!?!?!?!?!? OMG.
