Question for hair stylists

Can anyone give me some basic directions for trimming bangs that are angled down...brow length in the center, angling down to ear length, kind of like wings or curtains, I guess (great description, huh? Wink)? My hair grows so long that I can't see by the time I go in for my professional trim, so I want to do a quick trim in between salon visits.

I pull all the other hair back.

Then I take the bangs part and twist it. Then I snip the ends.

I've always done it dry, and I err on the side of not snipping enough rather than too much.

Usually I don't trim them myself, I let it all grow out just like the stylist left it. But, there are times when it's the best thing to do. If you're trying to grow your hair out it's the only way to get enough length inbetween professional cuts.

rose never heard the twisting method   wht does twisting do? it sounds interesting

i usually take the bangs pull them up and slightly trim them on an angle  i say do the smallest amount each time until you are happy with the length  better to be too long  than toooo short

also my hairdresser will just do a quick bang trim if i drop by

between haircuts  no charge   so just ask...  they usually will do it for you if you are a regular customer
