    Hi everybody,

I had a MRI, They found three lumps, in my left breast. Very, very small, But still there. The Surgeon, and the Oncologist, both want me to wait another six moths before they do anything. At the beginning, after my mastectomy(Dec 5th, 2007) of the right breast, the Oncologist told me she was surprised at how many, How aggressive,  how large they(the tumors) all were. Also how fast they grow to that size(8cm & larger). She has done so many test because she was scared that I may have had two cancers start at the same time, maybe my kidney, liver etc. Had CAT/PT, then the MRI. The MRI is where they found 3 lumps, very small, they are not even saying to get a biopsy. They keep saying that they think they are benign. I have been asking the surgeon to take the left breast now. They have not even called the insurance Co. yet. I am having the BRCA test in about 3 weeks. Then I am suppose to have my exchange of my expander in 2 months. I don't know if I should wait, until all the test (MRI & or BRCA) to finish my exchange. Or should I just go ahead and do the exchange and worry about that when the time comes? And if they are so sure that they are benign, why am I getting another MRI in 5 months? I don't know. I am just so frustrated, so depressed. They should have taken them both in the beginning. But they did not even ask the insurance at that time either. Please give me some advice. I feel like I don't know what to do anymore. In saying that, I do trust all these Doctors, I mean they have done everything good until now, Or am I overreacting?

Thank you in advance for all your advice,

    Shelly

Well, I am getting a mastectomy, with Alloderm, and expander (left breast) on Wed April 23rd,2007. My Oncologist will wait on the BRCA test. I am SO happy that they are taking it away, for some peace of mind. At least this time I will know what to expect. This board has been in many ways, kept me from going insane. Thank you.....

I hate waiting... I'm in a similar position in that the breast MRI has found a very small (2mm) lump in my other breast.  It's too small to see under ultrasound so I can't have a fna biopsy and as it doesn't apprear maliginant, I have to wait 6 months and see what happens.

The thing that gets me is that I have already had a mastectomy and reconstruction of that breast!  While I know it's possible to get cancer in the minimal breast tissue left after mast, but REALLY!  Has anyone else had a lump in a resonstructed breast?

Oh well...  sorry to hear that you have to wait but know that you are not the only one and we are all praying for you...

Shelly, it's great that you are able to get this resolved quickly instead of waiting another 6months.  Sounds like this is the best option for you. Now you can move forward without that fear and dread hanging over you. I had a PBM on Jan. 14th and have absolutely no regrets.  I just couldn't live with the constant worry.  Wishing you the very best on wed.  I will keep you in my prayers.

By the way I love Bermuda, it's my favorite place in the world and try to get there as often as I can.  Did you pick your name for the same reason?

    God bless...

    T,

Wow, I did not know that was possible to get lumps in the breast that has already had a mastectomy....OK....... I am so sorry. I know how you feel, as far as them finding a lump, and then telling you that you have to wait 6 months.....I hope that everything works out for you, and it is B9. You are very much in my prayers.

    Maria,

I am from the beautiful island of Bermuda. Very much Bermudian. Not been in the states for very long. Almost 2 years. I got married to the most amazing American man. He is my life. My god I love this man so much. We got married May 25th. 2007. 5 months after we got married I got this.

I miss home sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. But we go every time we can, Plus my family, Someone from my family is always up to visit. If you ever go back. PM me. I have a lot of contacts there. Restaurants, Pubs, Even discounts on the hotels...etc., etc...We will give you the V.I.P. treatment. lol..I live in MD now. It was a big adjustment for me. I am used to looking out my windows, and seeing, smelling the blue sea. I am now just getting used to it. We have been talking about going there to live, Or going somewhere it is hot all year round in the states. We shell see..

I am so glad that everything worked out for you. You had the surgery 2 days after my birthday.

Thanks you so much, Not so worried this time. But I can take all the prayers. That is one thing I have learned to do well, during all of this. But never being selfish, Mostly I pray to give me the strength to deal with everything dealt to me.

Best wishes, and lots of hugs,

    Shelly
