    I'm *thinking* about starting a Komen team for the walk in D.C. on  June 7. 

    Here's my questions: 

    1.  Would anyone here be interested in joining it?

    2.  I would like to walk for all the girls from this board whom we've lost and our also our family and friends....besides those who are still fighting and have not yet been diagnosed.  With this in mind, I would like to possibly use the angel's list on the first page of the team page.  I'm not sure if that would be okay or not.  Is that breaking any privacy rules?

    3.  The other thing I was thinking is for the team page picture, I would create a collage of either our angels' pictures or their Avs.   Is that breaking any privacy rules?

    Patrice....If I was a little closer AND the Race was on another weekend, I'd love to be a part of it. As it is, I'm signed up for the competitive run part of the Race here in Raleigh and that's the weekend after the DC one. I do want to run it because I commemorate my first time walking it during chemo, having made a promise to myself then that I would get better and run it as soon as I could. So I ran it last year and hope to do it again this year.

    Anyway, as for the privacy rules, I should think it would be okay because this is a public forum, more-or-less, but why don't you PM the Moderators and ask? I think it's a fantastic idea to walk in memory of our very own sister angels and you're so sweet to think of it!!!

    Thanks for the suggestion, Marin.  Good idea.  I'll PM them and ask.

    i would have loved to have seen you, but hats off to you that you're able to do the run!  It's great getting out there with all the other survivors, isn't it?  I'll never miss a Komen event.  Aside from being happy to help with the fundraising, the survivors' tent is the bomb...free massages!

    I would LOVE to join you  for the Komen ... for the cure!  I now live in NORTH CAROLINA... so that might be a problem....

    Say, Maybe I can PM you and try to call you... to see if I can be in the area on that day?  When is it?  I just got back from dinner with my dh and MIL... I had too many glasses of wine, but... I would LOVE to join you!!

    Hi, Harley:  It's on June 7th and would love to have you join me if I put the team together.  So far you seem to be the only one interested...but possibly some girls haven't seen this thread.  I'm going to check at my work and see if anyone there would be interested in joining a team.  Thanks for your interest.  I will keep you posted!

    I'm in DC but I am training for the race part of the run. I want to get my best time yet. Maybe I'll look for you after.

    I'll have to let you know about the walk on June 7th.  We are going back up to Maryland on the 1st of May, but only staying for a week.  I'll have to see...
