Shirley,
You DO NOT look like an ELEPHANT!! You are so very pretty!! But, I won't post the pic I have from our get together, even though YOU looked SO MUCH better than I did!!!
Harley
-
Here... I am so computer stupid, but I will try to post a pic of me, after my hair started to come back in...it must have been 1 month or 2 months ago...
-
you look great!!!
-
thanks, Beth, but I really should wait til my hair is longer, and maybe I will feel better about how I look!
Congrats. on your engagement!Harley
-
Harley: love the picture... now I know what you look like and vice versa...
Beth... you are engaged?! I thought I was!!!!!!! Where's the big announcement... I want to see the rock and your precious face.
-
Hey there, Lilia!!
I am not very photogenic, so I hesitated to post this pic.I just saw your pic, Lilia, and you look just great!
Thanks
Harley -
Lilia, Jades freckles are so cute, but I bet she doesn't think so
Isabella.
-
lilia if you click on the fashion thread in this forum, there are pics of the rock. If you can't find them I'll re post them here.
Harley, I love the color, and I know it feels like it takes forever to grow-- but it will get there. I saw a friend today who's hair is a tiny bit longer than yours and she had the cutest little bobby pin right in the front just pushing a little piece off to the side. It was ADORABLE!
-
Thanks, Beth,
My hair is a little bit longer now... it is still only about 3 inches long!
It's frustrating!
Harley

Hi, i am new to this and am not sure how to load pictures, can anyone give my a clue...also I am not from the states, does that matter when trying to send pictures to the site
-
beastybabe: see my comment above about how to post pictures; by the way, I WANT TO GO TO NEW ZEALAND SO BAD! I want to meet Xena... LOL and the lovely surroundings she filmed her series.
Beth: I guess I have to go hunting; I am truly happy for you. I wish you and your soon to be husband an eternal road of nothing but happiness... About your friend's hair... I did that 4 years ago... it did look cute.
Harley: I am not photogenic at all, that is why right now there's not a current pict. of me posted... I also put on 12 pounds and can't shake them off!!!!!!!!!!!! Elastic city here I go!
Isabella: my beautiful Isabella... Jade likes her freckles b/c I hammered in her head that brunettes w/ freckles are HOT!
Just like blondes, red heads,... freckles are HOT, period. LOL

Hello everyone!
YOU ALL ARE SOOOOO GORGEOUS!!!! I mean that-- every one of you sweet ladies!
I'm going to try to post some pics-- of my human and furry grandchildren, plus the view from my front deck, and a couple pics of me taken recently (and my fat in all it's glory-- I've gained 20 lbs
)
-
well, the picture of my grandson (human) worked! That's my Mason! I've done this many times before using photobucket... guess I'm forgetting a step...
-
In photobucket, when you upload the picture, click on the space that says direct link, and press copy. Then paste it in the insert here.
-
Well, here's Dixie, my sweet granddog (she belongs to my son and DIL)
-
Thank you, Beth!!! I think I'm on a roll now...
Here are Myles and Oliver, my grandcats, who also own my son and daughter-in-law and love their dog sister Dixie very much!
Here I am holding my two grand-wiener dogs, who belong to my daughter and son-in-law and are furry sisters to Mason...
This is the view from my front porch taken this morning after our April snow-- this is the Blue Ridge Parkway, with the Cold Mountain range way off to the far left...
Here I am with the beginning of hair again. So far it is coming back straight as a stick, just like it left, but it's a lot grayer... my husband says it's blue...
And finally, this was also taken today at the local shooting range. I love to shoot and am showing off my arsenal- a NE Arms .243 rifle, a Mossberg 500 12 gauge shotgun-- and my constant companion, a Taurus .38 special handgun. I left my Remington .22 rifle at home. I also love shooting my compound bow. Don't worry, I'm not violent or dangerous (only in the kitchen), but I am a pretty good shot!
Sorry for all the pictures, but once I figured out the posting process, I got carried away!
Thanks and love to all you wonderful ladies for your pictures and for your support!
Mary Jo

I figured it out-(OMG)...!!!!! lag=1, computer=0..!!!!!!!!!! Well here I am, along with my fiance.
-
NbN, I'm been here, and most bitchin' in Tracie bitch thread. Also in "Where Are the Oldbies?" thread too, which I started.
Thanks for the compliment. I look much better than how I feel! Ugh. Right now, worrying about my son's upcoming doc appt. tomorrow, and the fact that my hubby may be in danger of losing his job this Friday.
Other than that, how the hell are you?!
-
Laura: I am good, the same I could not say for "Mr. Tinkerbell"... he fractured his right elbow last night by falling in the basement; so after dinner when he says he was going to go to the Hospital, Jade and I said... WHAT?!?!?! Only than we found out what happened in the basement... I guess what happens in the basement, stays in the basement?!?!?!
The Hospital word meant he was really in pain... and we are suppose to go on vacation this Saturday. Still waiting to hear back from the orthopedic doctor to see what he says about Bill's arm.
I hope your son's appt. goes well and hug hubby for me. This economy better pick up!
And again I state... you look awesome.
laq: liked the picture, thanks... are you a biker chick? Harleyhoney was looking for biker chicks... she has a thread under this forum... look it up if you are a biker chick.
-
Thanks for the compliment naughty. No, Im not a biker chick-just a passenger on the back-honestly dont think I could even hold one of those things up straight even while standing...!!!!!!
Thats more his thing.!!!! I like the feel of the wind-its refreshing; although last year a deer ran out in front of us -(it was bad), the bike actually faired better than we did-he spent almost a month in the hospital, I however endedup with massive road rash ( my butt the absolute worst-OUCH).
When I went through treatment I didnt' allow any pictures of me ( didn't want to be reminded-I was in a hazed state of mind back then. I hid from cameras so I dont have any pictures from then. My mom bought me a real expensive shorter wig when I lost my hair-and I was pretty good at fooling people while at work (no one knew my hair was gone-just shorter) and then when I would get home OFF that sucker went. Since back then it was just me and my kids-I would rarely let them have friends inside-if so I would hide or put a towel on my head to make it look like I had just washed it ya know? I know I just rambled and I'm sorry but seeing some of the other ladies pictures of them on here with their shorter hair makes me wish maybe I did take some pictures back then. YOU LADIES ARE BEAUTIFUL...!!!
-
laq: Nothing wrong about hiding the cameras, not having any pictures... I personally tossed the wig prescription in the garbage as soon as the Dr. gave it to me.
I have always said that it's my hair, my nails and my breasts or nothing else!!
Could I have bought a wig to see what it looked like? Possibly... but you have to feel comfortable w/ yourself; I personally can't stand stuff that is not naturally from my body... it's just my opinion.
Good to see that you ride a bike, even if it is on the back seat... heck, I could not handle one of those suckers either... but I do like the wind on my face, hair and the freedom that comes w/ it.
-
I had pretty long hair before chemo, and honestly (i've even told my doctor this) that is the one thing that pissed me off most about going through treatment-it was the losing of the hair-dont know why, just was. The only reason i wore that wig was if I went out in public, and also to work (fooled them all-hahaha),but like I said at home first thing inside that sucker came off-my kids (bless their soles) were wonderful about it.
We havent been riding on the bike yet this year, hubby hasn't gotten his Harley back yet (accident last June)-should have it within two weeks and he has to see if he can ride first, (has very limited movement in his right elbow and hand) So it is a mystery as to if I will get t ride on the back this year, if not looks like I am the chase van all summer long-yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a good day and "naughtyby nature" thank you for writing back and forth with me-I dont have very many friends up this way and it is nice to chat with someone who is or has gone through a very life changing event just like me.
Have a good day ladies..!!! Love to ya all
lag

lag (NOT laq! - LOL - Sorry I could not see if it was a "q" or a "g")
Don't mention... a lot of us had really long hair before chemo (did you see may hair?!) and I agree w/ you, besides not having time to freeze my "eggs" (I wanted one more child...) the hair thing was what really P... me Off! But than again I just had a lumpectomy which is totally different than a mastectomy... I am one of those very lucky 'dogs'.
Don't be a stranger... love seeing you around.
Talk to you and others towards the end of the month as I am going on a vacation this Saturday. Hurray for vacations!
-
Naughty -Have a GREAT time, Love to hear all about it when you get back. Oh I wont be a stranger-I am so glad I came across this sight-you are all WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL women. I'll be back on later as my kids (no matter how I feel ) still require food for some reason--ha ha ha ha..!
-
twink, i must say you're stunning and more so with both no hair and short hair. i would love to post some pics but i'm more computer stupid than most of you ladies sound. i could use some really really basic step by step instructions if anyone has the time.
maria.
-
Click on this link that Timtam made...it gives step-by-step instructions, maria.
http://tamako.milkcafe.to/luv/bco_photobucket/index.htm
hmmm...i don't know how to make it so you can just click on it. you either have to copy and paste this link in the web address line (the www part)...or go to the Cybersisters Photoalbum Forum. Click on that and then see the thread entitled "Posting Pictures." On the first page of that thread, scroll down and see Timtam (Fumi's) post. You can click on the link in her post. Good luck!
