Watch out world!! I have an avatar!! I didn't even know what an avatar was until quite recently...... and somehow I managed to mount this pic, without Jasmine walking me thru step-by-step. Just knowing she would gave me courage!!
-
I love it Faith!!! You did great. How is the grandson and your daughter today? How are you holding up?
-
Good job Faith! Don't worry if your DD needs a C-section. My DIL did and everything turned out fine. Our twins were both almost 7 lbs! Ack!
Hey Iris!!!!
Hey there, Jaz!
Thinking of Angels for our Angel
-
Janny: thank you.... thank you. I'm such a whimp I guess. I just hate the thought of surgery for her, but your experience shows how things can turn out just right!! I seriously need to hear your voice of calm and reason in the midst of this.
Jaz: wonder-boy's fever broke... maybe it was something to do with teeth, but fortunately it wasn't too much more than 24 hours. DD's cough may be getting a tad better too. Or maybe it's my wishful thinking?? Thanks for posting the angel pic over @ 5 Angels.
Hope that everyone has a peaceful evening....
Does anyone want to move in here with us? I want reinforcement!!
Thanks to everyone for your support & kindness. Here's a sunset from last summer @ the lake. Want to stop by this summer? We have room.
-
Hi girls, what a few days it's been.
Wings, fed my sister tonight - want to know what she wanted - Jaz's potato soup.
Jasmine, see above. With your weather, you could have used some yourself.
Sahalie, I want some of those mimosas please.
Faith, I keep telling myself I need to go back to the personal trainer but I read somewhere that if you have one you get too dependent on them and don't do the exercises yourself. I haven't done anything about a personal trainer since mypackage ran out. My little black dress wouldn't be so little.....Faith, you did it - posted an avatar. That sunset is beautiful.
Have to go read. Love to all from A to Z.

Woohoo! Its Friday! Finally. What a long wet week its been but the good news is that the sun is out today and the forecast is NO RAIN next week. I think my area has gotten our rain quota for the entire year now.
Divine -- how are you doing? Is chemo getting you down. Gentle hugs.
Faith -- how is your daughter? I'm glad your grandson seems to be on the mend now. You sure do need some relief. Get some rest cause I have a feeling once those twins get here, you'll all be getting even less sleep.
Iris -- hello to you.
Susan -- are you guys getting socked with this weather system too.
Hi Jan
Amy -- those baby goats are adorable.
Wings, Sahalie -- I hope you have a great day
Margaret -- I've never had a personal trainer. I just figured they just stood around and watched you lift weights but those stars that haver pt's sure do look fit.
Well, sorry I have to run but I'll be back. I have an early morning conference call so I have to run.
Hugs to all from A to Z.

This was sent in a email - Dad makes prom dress out of condoms. OH MY! Who wants to model this on the beach today?
Jasmine - Great Friday song even though I could not hear it at least I can see the title. Enjoy the sunshine.
Maragret - Potato soup sounds like the perfect comfort food. I love HM soups.
Faith - Beautiful sunset. Great job on the avatar. I will have to give it a try. Always wanted one just didn't know how.
Happy Friday to all the Beach Beauties!

Prom dress from condoms???? For whatever reason, my screen says the image has been removed by Photobucket?? Man. I've never seen a prom dress from condoms before -- I'm just so curious.
OK. So I've had my haircut this morning, she came here to TWINS watch central! Yes. She made a house-call, she heard I was so deperate and scraggley..... so now I can face the excitement ahead.
How does getting a haircut always give me a whole new lease on life?
That's all I've gotten accomplished for the day, besides playing with trains and trucks and reading books and changing diapers and -- well, you get the drift. I'd forgotten how 'similar' the days are in toddler town.
Can not go into it here in a public forum, but my DD has a whole new soap opera unfolding with her MIL... perfect timing, right? Geesh.
Wings: create an avatar on your 'home' here. I feel 'official' now! If I did it, you can too.
Margo: makes sense about the personal trainer concept --
Jaz: glad to hear that you made it to Friday. Have you been 'stepping' this week? We had some loud thunder last night & I thought of you.
Angel: keep watching over us. We're always thinking of you.
Divine: hurry back to us here in the sunshine. I've got some chairs at shore's edge to get acquainted.
nEEsie: see, I'm trainable..... missing you, sweetest.
hugs and happiness to everyone from A to Z.

OPPS....Did I do a no no by posting the pix of the prom dress?
Sorry did not mean to offend anyone . I thought it was a clever idea by a dad.
I'm sure if you type in condom prom dress on a search engine it should pop up.
Wings
-
I don't think it was a bco thing, Wing. I think something happened to the pic on the photobucket site. You might try checking the link. It looks like someone either moved the pic on the photobucket site itself or maybe deleted it on that end.
-
Wing Girl!!! You have an avatar, too!!!! We're like the 'big girls' now.
congrats!! i'm proud of you........
Hey. I swear there was an avatar there a minute ago. Where did it go?
-
Oh my...you're......GEEKS!
-
Faith...how many of those beach drinks have you had today??? I'm just sayin......:p
-
i had to go online to find the condom dress.... it's actually quite beautiful -- certainly quite colorful!!
jaz: i did have one or two drinks last night, my first since dx -- that's how crazy this new soap opera chapter made me........ didn't know it was that obvious, from this far away: LOL
no one's ever called me a geek before.... i feel the love!
-
Geeks R Us!
Welcome to the club.

Hi to all of you,Beach Buddies!
Janny, this motorcycle reminded me of your fun and you! Hope that your wkend goes well!
faith...won't be long and I know this has to be the hardest part. Thinking of you,Sarah, the "wonderboy" and the twins. Congrats on the "Geek" work!

Hope everyone is having a good Fri evening!
Sahalie...how are you? I love all those lovely beach scenes!

Ooooooooh Iris, I'm gonna dive right into those chocolates.
Margaret, I hope your sister is feeling 100% better today and that you are rested.
It can be so stressful and amazingly tiring playing the waiting game in a hospital even for loved ones.
What a day.
I know Margaret knows what I mean.
It has been and is beautiful right now here and supposed to be really great temps for the next few days.
We had the rains big time this year thank goodness as we are always on high alert for water use.
Can I just say I was shocked to the floor about who got voted off last night on Idol.
That was so wrong and I think the long hug from Paula was her talking to him about up coming music calls.
Same from Randy.
I hated having to switch back and forth between Survivor and Idol.
Why oh why do they put these shows on at the same time.
Faith, How is your adorable daughter doing?
I sure hope your little grandguy is feeling much better.
Jasmine, You shocked us all last night with your high jump off the pier and onto the yacht deck.
Thanks for bringing the party favors even while fighting your rain down pour.
Can you believe the lift she got when she catapulted off the pier light post?
So now the weekend.
We all know that means major beach time and staying on the good side of the beach patrol.
Everyone grab your Pareu, suit and get ready for a fun filled weekend.
I scheduled a 4X4 jeep ride up the majestic mountain roads to a waterfall early in the day with a stop for pineapple freshly cut by our driver.
Next we will jump in the lagoon in the late afternoon just before sunset and go below the surface with one of the dive masters and experience the translucent fish that swim amoung the coral, maybe spot a turtle or two.
Don't forget your digital cameras and sunscreen.
Dinner on the beach.
Fresh fish catch of the day, homemade breads, fresh fruit, wines and cocktails.
Get ready girls. Hold on.
-
Sahalie: your post gives me the strength to think I can go another day. Love to you for your imagery.
-
Faith
Love. Sahalie
-
Jaz, my personal trainer might have watched me lift weights, but she worked me hard.
Wings, you should try Jaz's potato soup - 4 ingredients - it's a staple in my house now.
Faith, I love when I get my hair done, especially when the color is due. The personal trainer concept makes sense but I'm not doing it anyway so I guess I should go back.
Iris, plans are to go to the gym tomorrow morning, have to go to Costco so I can make something for Jacob's picnic after baseball on Sunday morning, go to his game Sunday, and work on the program for my fundraiser all weekend in between laundry. What about you, well, besides chocolate.
Sahalie, I should have told Iris that I was doing all of the above in addition to the fun filled weekend you have planned for us. Weather was beautiful today and should be through Monday wahoo, I'm ready.
Faith, wasn't that a great visual Sahalie had?
-
I need help from the Geek Squad, I am still working on my Geek apprentice. However Faith is a full member. Ok...I know how to do an avatar with a ditial picture, how about using an imagine not a picture from photobucket?
Faith - you were not seeing things I did have an avatar for a few seconds... I was practicing.. teehee
Iris - I also have a sweet tooth - those chocolates look tempting especially the one decorated w/ pink. Chocolate is my weakness...I don't smoke or drink but I am addicted to chocolate.
Sahalie - Fresh pineapple - yum...I agree w/ Margaret - great visual!
Jasmine - hope you didn't get to banged up from your leap of faith off the pier onto the deck. We all held hands in a circle to help break the fall.
Margaret - When you get time I would like the soup recipe - thanks. Looks like you have a busy wkend...picnic after baseball sounds like fun.
Kudos to all of you that are attempting to exercise. I am power walking outside - I love to take walks. Trying to get my winter weight off. Maybe we can help motive each other.
Late lunch date w/ DH today.
Enjoy your Saurday!

As I try to sneak quietly back to the beach.....spread my towel.....soak up the rays and sip my Pina Colada from the gorgeous Cabana Boys.........! Tried to sneak in last night, but somehow froze my computer up........at first I thought it was the storms we were having, but, being a member of the Geeks Not club..I'm sure it was me! By "Geeks Not" I mean I know nothing about Technology!!!!!!!
Jas: Will you send out your Potato Soup recipe again, Please? I know it is similar to the one I make........but has the Country Gravy Mix in it.......which I have bought....just don't know what to do with it!
Sorry for being gone for awhile.......I guess I was just computered out.....but, hey......it's a new day and away we go!
I've tried catching up, but not having much luck at it.........SOOOOOOOOO, I'm counting on Iris to give me some Cliff Notes!
I know that Margarets sister was having surgery......but don't know what the outcome was..........hoping for 'great'....
I know that Faith is still on baby watch and poor DD is going to pop soon. Must say though that if Trevor doesn't turn and she has to have a C-section.......she will be in good hands and will be just fine.
Have to tell you.........we have several sets of twins in our extended family and two sets in my immediate family. When my niece had her twins (third pregnancy) one of them was breach..........the OB suggested that she could deliver the first one naturally and then have the second one C-section! Ummmmmm..........NO! She said maybe he could have tried that with the first pregnancy..........but not the third! All will be fine, I'm sure!
Susan was going to email me a pic of all of them last night.........didn't get it........Gee, hope they aren't locked up somewhere from another night on the town!
Talk about guilt trips.........my GD called me at 11:00a and told me she wanted me to come to Soccer with her today. I don't think she understands that I live an hour away and soccer starts at noon.
Remember...I haven't been on the beach for awhile...........so someone give me a kick in an hour and tell me to roll over!
Wishing all well and a great weekend!
Neesie

Here you go, Neesie. Glad to see you back at the beach!
Hashbrown Potato Soup
1 pkg of frozen hashbrowns (the 32 - 36 oz pkg)
4 cans of chicken broth
1 pkg of Pioneer Biscuit Gravy Mix
Simmer the hashbrowns (whole pkg) in the 4 cans of chicken broth until it is slightly mushy and then add the biscuit mix to thicken up if needed. Add seasoning to suit your taste.
-
This is a base recipe. You can also add chopped onion, green onion, bacon bits, and cheese for flavoring.
-
Jaz, do you wisk in the gravy mix by itself in the soup or do you mix it in water/broth first and then mix it in? I always have all the ingredients on hand now - it's an honest to goodness staple and a must have probably once a week. Those are 14/15 oz. cans of chicken broth, right?
-
Margaret. I was just adding the gravy mix directly to the soup but it always makes it a little lumpy. I think mixing it with water first would probably take care of the lumps. Yes, they are the 14 oz cans. You can use vegetable broth if you are a vegetarian.
-
Beach bunnies. Thought you'd appreciate another view of the bump.
Here's what a chilly, rainy morning looks like -- all snuggled up in pajamas. I seriously can't image that she can get much bigger!
Sahalie: for some reason I can't 'see' your last picture? I'm sure it's incredible, cuz Margaret says so! Thanks for the thought. I'm still salivating over the fresh pineapple. We once rented that very jeep to take a tour up the Red Rock in Sedona, AZ -- my favorite get-away.
Jaz: I think it's still a bit premature to give me my geek certificate. See note above??? What's up with that??? Just when I think I'm making progress: hahaha.
Wings: I liked the lighthouse avatar!! Glad I wasn't seeing things! LOL. You really had me going there for a second. Thought maybe I was imagining things???
Margaret: I stumbled into something really cool on the web. Calligraphy that is 'given' to any non-profit that is meant to benefit children. Could be something for your next year's event? It's an AWESOME website.
Iris: Are you back to big-town yet? Hope you're having a great weekend -- where ever you are. Missing your cheer today. Hurry back to us & get us up-to-date.
nEEsie: I'm sooooooooo glad that you left your island and have come back to us here @ the beach. Iris will be along soon to catch you up to date, I'm sure. Now roll over, you're starting to look a bit over-cooked.
Angel: was today a soccer day? Hope you enjoy these pics of wonder boy.
Janny: I'm starting to pace... could possibly wear a hole into the hardwood floors.
Divine: hope that you return to us soon with some of your amazing & artful images. Do you have any return trips to Cleveland on the horizon? thought maybe you could stop here on your way home & add some twins pics to your portfolio.
Deb: thinking of you today & sending you a handwoven basket with some fresh daffodils popping out the top.
Amy: what are the little chicks doing these days? how long does it take for a baby chick to mature?
Does anyone write for a soap opera? I have a story-line that would be a ratings grabber!
Wasn't tonight's sunset positively amazing? I've never seen those colors -- combined with the waves & the wind. How fortunate are we to be at a beach where we can enjoy both sunrise & sunset together!!
Warm hugs to everyone Z to A............
-
Faith -- what great pics of your daughter and Wonder Boy. I can't see the pic either so I went to the url link in the properties and saved the pic to my pc. Then I put it on photobucket. Here is the pic.
I'm not sure why the link in her post didn't work. Maybe it was the dash '-' in the image name that it doesn't like. So, see...its not always something wrong with how you are doing things.
Wing -- I'm not sure what you questions is about using a digital pic for your avatar. You should just be able to upload it to bco to use. Just click on the 'browse' button by the avatar box and it should let you select it off your pc hard drive.
-
Jaz: what would I do without you? Thank you. Captain Geek!
Sahalie: I am now wearing those flowers in my newly cut (and yes, of course I got it colored, too) hair. You're a marvel.... just what the doctor ordered.
