2 years and the smell of our Spring

Last month, I hit another milestone on 24th of last month. I am now officially 2 years out from the day when my stupid tumor got removed and 2 years and 9 months out from dx. Today I went in for the Lupron shot and had a quick visit to the shrine nearby with my onc. I've been to this clinic since I had my first ever chemo in 2005 and knew there's a shrine that is well known for beautiful cherry blossoms but never had a chance to be there because the traffic was always awful. My onc wanted me to be there today with him to celebrate my 2 years. He let me ride on the back of his bike and got me around there. He's such a sweetie.
Anyway everyone, feel our Spring! Ain't it just so nice to be able to feel it after having gone through h*ll? I am sure you all know what I mean.

((((((Fumi)))))))....CONGRATULATIONS!!!
What a great onc you must have to take you to the gardens to celebrate! The pics are so very beautiful. I especially like the contrast of the delicate buds against the solidity of the buildings and concrete/stone! Thanks so much for sharing them.

I love the photos of the cherry blossoms! I love that your onc took you there and that you got there on a bicycle. I've never seen such large majestic cherry trees.
I also looked at your fireworks photos. I like them even better! I wouldn't have a clue how to photograph fireworks. And in the spring section, I love the bamboo dripping into a pool of water. I saved it to my computer and made it my wallpaper.
Thanks fumi, and congrats on your 2-year anniversary!

Not only is my onc so sweet but he is really reachable and responsive. Always has been ever since I met him. Cancer does suck but if you had a onc like mine, having to go in for the Lupron shot every 4 weeks could be sort of fun. I think I have been lucky in this aspect. Since my onc doesn't let anyone else give me the shot, it's like I have a follow-up every 4 weeks although I don't get scans all that often anymore. The shot itself would only take a minute but he always sits me down for at least an hour so that I can ask whatever I'm concerned about.
Oh by the way, it was a motorbike that he was riding. Not a bicycle. He must have had to pedal way too hard otherwise! *lol*

Oh Fumi,
CONGRATULATIONS on another milestone!
I am so happy that you have an onc who takes care of you as a woman as well as a patient.
Are all doctors like that in Japan? If they are then I am moving!
You always give us something to smile about.
Love ya,
