    Pertty--there's a discussion board here for HER2+ women that you might want to check out. Just scroll down on the main board until you see it. You'll meet tons of HER2 + girls.

    My name is Toni 58yrs rt breast had IDC grade 1 margins negative lymps absent er-positive with a mastectomy now left breast is atypical lobular hyperolasia.

    Hi everyone,

    I'm new and trying to learn about breast cancer. I never realized how many factors are involved. I'm very confused about info on the web and some of the info is very very scary. Recently I was diagnosed with dcis with focus of less than 1mm of microinvasion in one area. Nuclear grade 3,  Histoligic grade 3, solid cribform with comedo necrosis. I now these are very agressive cells and the Her2neu 3+ isn't very good either.  Negative sentinel lympth node, that wonderful.  Is there anyone in this community with the same diagnosis?  Please I would like to connect with someone.

    Hello Liz 

    My mom was dx with this exact same thing 4 years ago.  DCIS with a .5mm microinvasion.  However, because of the microinvasion it is considered IDC, Invasive ductal carcinoma.  Because of that .5mm she went from Stage 0 to Stage 1.  She is Her2+++, grade 1, she had negative nodes, clear margins after mastectomy, she also went through chemo for the Her2, because back 4 years ago they did not give Herceptin to early stagers.  I am wishing now that they did as she is stage 4, just dx Sept 07.

    If you need any information regarding your dx I would be happy to give you anything I know and have experienced over the past 4 years.

    hi i am a 29 year old mother of four i have breast cancer my her2 is + i have neg nodes i started chemo april 1st. on top of that i have to take the herceptin for one year. im having a hard time dealing. i want to know if there is any other ways to fight this without the chemo

    I am so triple positive ,and I wonder the same thing, but from what I have research unfortunately this is the way to go, i start chemo 4/22 and herceptin for a year also. I also have clear nodes, had a mastectomy.  I wish also that there was another way out of this one, I really fear chemo.
