I've complained so long about chronic fatigue, and more recently my thyroid, that I wonder if anyone reads my posts anymore.  I'm happy to report that I finally found some relief from my relentless fatigue.  I was so frustrated that my doctors were of no help whatsoever beyond a TSH bloodtest.  I tried iodine supplements for 3 weeks on the advice of my friend's chiropractor.  Still no relief.  Information about iodine is all over the board.

I was reading and reading and reading until I couldn't read anymore.  Then I remembered genesis talking about videos from the guy she likes so much.  So I gave it a whirl and I what I heard really made sense to me.  So I took a leap of faith and ordered their beginner's  vitality kit.  The kit contains a jar of superfood, intestinal formula #1, and a tincture of echinacea.

I still have half of my 30 day supply of superfood.  I now realize that the serving size is 2T and I can only manage 1T.  Next time I'm ordering it in capsules.  Not a fan of sludge at the bottom of my juice.  But even at half servings, I can feel a boost.  It contains protein, all the B vitamins, plus A and C and E, and iodine, selenium, zinc, and  iron. All of it is plant based, no sugar.

The tincture is for boosting the immune system.  The intestinal formula is for getting things moving through at the proper rate.  I found it to be too strong.  I've been tinkering with different doses and finally seem to be fine with a half dose 3-4 times a week (instructions say 1 or more per day).

The first thing I noticed was the absence of my persistent queasy stomach.  The year of treatment has turned into such a blur, I'm not sure if it started with chemo or later, but every single darn time since I finished radiation, I would get sick to my stomach when I increased my activity.  If I laid low, I could usually keep it at bay.  That's fine for a couch potato, which is what I had become but didn't want to be.  I haven't come anywhere close to throwing up in the month I've been on this program.  I can't say that my fatigue is officially at the curb, but I am way more energetic than I've been for a long time and no more nausea.  My crash and burn episodes seem to be getting shorter and shorter.

I am so happy I found some relief.  Genesis, I really owe you a big thank you.  I hope you're doing ok.  I haven't seen you post in weeks.  I just ordered my first detox kit and I hope to feel even better again in a couple of weeks.

So tell us more. Where do we read about this guy and his magic formula?

I take every supplement known to man or woman and still dont feel as good as I did a mere 2-3 years ago.  And it's probably not the BC but menopause or other wacky system changes.

Oops, I did leave that out didn't I.  Guess I'd better order his brain formula.  LOL  I went to www.herbdoc.com   There will be a warning page that says the products are not approved by the fda blah blah blah.  And if you read the newsletters, there will be a recurring theme of getting a juicer and giving up all meat, dairy and eggs.  I do have a juicer, which I dusted off in December. I started with juicing every 2-3 days.  Now I have fresh juice twice a day.

<> I can wholeheartedly agree that juicing every day is a wonderful thing we can do for our health.  I can even agree that I'd have a healthier diet without meat, dairy and eggs, but that's something more drastic for me.  I love the fresh juice.  I also love cookies, and all the ones I like have butter and/or eggs.  So I'm not on board with all the dietary recommendations, and still I feel that I'm benefitting.  I'm also not lugging around a tumor as far as I know, so I have the luxury of taking some time to work toward a healthier diet.  Genesis, who came here months ago and was recommending Dr Schulze, had a stage IV diagnosis, so of course she was following directions more to the letter than I.

<>I want to be cancer free of course, but mainly I tried the products to kick my fatigue to the curb.  I'm still not 100%, but I could feel an improvement even on the first day.  That superfood really gets into the bloodstream fast.  In a nutshell, the philosophy of Dr Schulze (herbal doctor, not an MD) is that our cells take in sustenance and excrete waste, and we are way overloaded with toxins in today's world.  What most people consume for sustenance needs improvement, and almost universally in this country we are not disposing of waste at a rate that allows us to be truly healthy.  So he has a lot of products to help move things out.  He claims 80% of the people who try his products achieve improved health just by getting the  digestive tract to work better.   There's loads of newsletters to read if you want further/better explanations.  Maybe it's not for everyone, but it sure works for me so far.

    Thanks for the info, Althea.

I have been taking a similar SuperFood product for several years so will have to compare the two in ingredients.

I eat as much organic as possible, no red meat, only hormone free chicken, organic 2% milk, (one small glass a day).  Still it might be worth a try. Thanks for sharing.

Bliz, which brand of superfood have you tried?  I've just recently learned about superfood and know there are many brands.

The ingredient list on my jar says:   Spirulina algae, blue-green algae, chlorella broken-cell algae, barley, alfalfa and wheat grasses, purple dulse seaweed, acerola cherry, rose hips, palm fruit, lemon and orange peels, beet root, spinach leaf, in a base of Dr Schulze's proprietary non-fermentable saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast (whatever that is!).

rubytuesday, you sound like you've done cleanses before.  Did you feel better afterwards?

Althea, YES!!!  A good cleanse ALWAYS makes me feel better...more energy and I just feel 'lighter' and my head feels clearer.  I like Hulda Clark's the best but I have used Nature's Secret The Ultimate Cleanse too.  It is a good cheap cleanse.  Best wishes

P.S. I've also used the Lemon Fast cleanse.

It's called "Pure Synergy"  I have been doing it for many years.  Even before BC. It seems to have the same ingredients.

I might try the echinicea and the cleanse drops though.  Might be worth trying the whole "getting started" package just to see if there is any difference in the superfoods effect.
