This is my first time in this chat. Not sure how I got here I just know why. My family tree sucks. My whole life I have fought diabetes, depression, weight, abuse of all types and just when things are starting to look up I have a lump in my breast. Talking about sucking. It down right hurts. Yesterdays mamogram and US confermed it. Now I have to waite for the Doctor to tell me what I know my whole family has been through. I so dred my visit next week to see him.
On the other hand I keep telling myself if God didnt think I could handle it He wouldnt put me through the test. Well I told God last night that I know I cant handle one more medical situation. I do hope he hears me. I think it finally hit me Im now crying for the first time.

Hi Lady,
I just wanted to say hi and that I'm sorry for what you're going thru. Medical issues of any kind, start to get to you at a point. I know that. This may turn out to be B9 and then hopefully you will find a new starting point in life. And if it's not B9, well, you have started out on the right foot by finding your way here. This is such a great place to meet other women who really get what you're going thru and for support. I have found alot of it myself here. Try and keep your mind on other things while you're waiting. It's hard, but you can do it. Go out and enjoy the day! And, keep coming back here when you need support. Let us know what you find out OK? I'll be thinking of you.

Not all breast lumps are cancerous. In fact, a good 80% are benign.
But all breast lumps need a biopsy or excision, cause that's the only way to know they are benign.
You've gone through a lot in life. We're hoping this lump is in that 80%.
Keep posting. We understand your angst.
Welcome, btw, to breastcancer.org. There's lots of good info about breast lumps on their "home" page, and lot's of great support right here.
Best to you,
Tender -
Oh ((((((ladycoldfingers)))))), I'm so sorry that your troubles have been so frequent! I know how it is to be stricken with illness after illness and feel as though it will never let up, but I've been so very lucky in my life otherwise. The best I can come up with is to tell you that I have always found that making a big effort to ignore the most awful parts of any disaster and focus as much as possible on any of the "benefits" that you can identify....any at all....has gotten me through. For example, during chemo, I convinced myself that I loved feeling foggy because it was really just a variation on "relaxed"
....huh? And being bald and wearing a wig cut about 15 minutes off of my morning routine, not to mention not shaving my legs gave me more time too.
So hang in there, girl. Stick with us here and we'll help you get through this. We can do that because, you know, we've been there too. We're all in this together, fighting our fight against this beast of a disease and not letting it win!!!

So sorry you've had such a rough time. Hey, you are about to meet lots of great people. We can't always control what happens in our life but we sure can do something about it!
It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you carry it.

I'm so sorry for what your going through Lady, sometimes life is so unfair. I used to have an ideal life, I was so fortunate and yet for the last 3 years my life has become a constant battle. When I found out I had breast cancer 2 months ago, I realized that everything I'd gone through for the almost 3 years made me stronger and that's why I have to get through this.
I know it only helps so much to know others are going through it, but it does help. I wish you luck, keep the faith and if you ever want to talk, just come here. God Bless, Mary

I sure do appreciate all of the letters of encouragement. This has already proven to be a difficult situation for me right now because of diabetes and what the stress of the whole thing is doing to my body and blood sugars. Makes it hard to think positive or to just think of anything at all.
