I'm bitchy, I moan, I groan.....anyway.

honey girl-try inositol 10 grams per day and 5-htp 300mg per day, these are alternative supplements and have greatly helped me with hot flashes, i rarely get them now and it's been one year since on the tamox.
-
I'm sitting here with a wad a tissue stuck up my nose trying to stop a nose bleed.....NOT fun. I would like just one day without some screwed up little symptom or side effect. I know if I get in the shower this sucker is going to bleed like crazy again. grrrrr....

Oh BlueSky I meant to comment on what happened with your job and say that sucks. I've put on a couple sizes myself and Always seem to be hungry! The worse is that it's all in the belly! WTF?
Also, Joykeeper, that Totally sucks what happened to you!!! I would have handled it just as you did. You go girl! I agree with Ann that it's appalling that you had to do that though.
-
(((Deb))) that really Sucks. What a pain in the ass that must be.
-
angel-thanks it's been three months and i'm still angry about it, i'd like to use the bitch slap on the woman that fired me!
WTF to all of it, i miss my old self so much, some days like today it's just too much, it's so dark and rainy here.
i'm so happy that i found this thread and group it's really helping alot.
-
Haha...Thanks Mel for the bitch slap coupon....I am taking a few of those to keep in my purse..there always seems like a time to use them!!
I hope your increased dosage helps with your extreme hot flashes. You poor thing.
I was catching up with this thread...and I have to mention Joy's post...about the BC walk, and the girl who told her she has to be too young for bc....OMG...I had to re read that...I could not believe anybody, esp. someone working an event for BC would say that!!! I commend you Joy for the way you handled that, cause Like Lisa said...I would have knocked her out!!
No real bitching today...except that I am headed off to the grocery store....AND I HATE SHOPPING FOR FOOD!!!
Have a great day ladies!!

((((((((Deb))))))))) Gawd that sucks..................
Honeygirl, I just talked to my 'lil sis Debbi and she wanted to know what your doc said about your .... swelling. She's so funny...I wish she would post on here. She said she tried last nite but she was so wasted on Ambiem (only 1 lol) that she couldn't find the thread. Anyway....she said that her doctor told her .... hers was that fat before. She was so pissed. (Still is) I'm laughing thinking about all the funny shit she says....she said that she was screaming at him so everybody in the waiting room could hear her.... "YOU MUTILATED ME!!!!!!!!!" LMAO! (Not funny but you know what I mean) I would never have the balls to do that!! She is sooooo funny.
Anyway....what did you dr say???
Edited to add....Angel, don't really care anymore. I'm moving to Dallas!!!
-
About the girl at the RFC - At our race the survivor recognition is done by the ZETA TAU ALPHA sorority and they evendentally did not train the girls in the realities of BC. I'm glad you gave her a quick lesson on BC, but I probably would have done the same thing. I am not trying to make an excuse for her attitude but I am glad that they moved her to another location quickly.

Angel and Bluesky , thanks for the suggestions. No , I haven't tried any of the above mentioned , I have to run everything by my onc before I can take something new. Some things interfere with tamox. So I will see what he says. And I just started taking the extra effexor last night. So I will give it some time to see if it kicks in.
Gsg , sorry I made you forget , but glad I made you laugh. Laughter is what gets me through it all.
Oh , and count me in on the typing typos! I can't believe how bad it is. I am forever doing spellcheck.
Deb , Hugs , that has to be awful with the nosebleeds. Hope it gets better.
Hi Traci , first tell you're sis I know exactly how she feels
I think I'll start using that as my avatar!lol The last time I saw my ps , he said I was still swelled , and that it would go down ,NOT! So , I will be going back for nipple recon , and he also looked at my breasts , because the recon one is bigger than the other , and just said everything was fine , to come back for the nipples. Well , everything is not fine. And if all he is planning is nipple recon , and not making it more symmetric , I am going to see someone else. I asked my onc about it , and he told me to talk to my gyn , when I go for my pap , that it may be lymph fluid. And another lady here said she had the same problem and her doc said to wear a girdle for a while and it went away for her. I bought a girdle , I will give it a try. And there is NO WAY I was this big down there before surgery. It will be interesting to see what he says since its been a year now and the "swelling" is still there. You know , right after my surgery , I felt like " thank God I am alive and thought I should just be satisfied with what ever I ended up with. Well , I don't feel like that anymore. I don't think there is anything wrong with me wanting to look the best I can. Especially after what I have been through. So if he isn't gonna help , I will see someone else. Tell your sister to give the girdle a try. can't hurt. Hugs Mel

((((Deb)))) That sucks!
Mel, thanks for the coupon. I'm sure it will come in handy. OMG the purple hippo is cracking me up. Except your "hippo lips" have me a little worried as I'm having tram done this Wed. Keep your fingers crossed.
Good news on the tooth. . .the dentist was able to just cement it back in.
Went for pre-admissions testing today and was like a complete imbicile. I couldn't remember the name of my eye surgery. When we were going over all my surgeries, the nurse asked me what kind and I went blank. Then we played 20 questions. . .she said Lasik? and I said no the one before that, then she said oh yeah, it'll come to me and then I remembered that it was initials and she finally came up with RK! It was almost comical if it wasn't so sad that I can't remember sh*t.
Traci - Glad you're getting away from the roommate. Is the move to Dallas for a new job?
-
I don't have a good "bitch" today - but I do want to say awwww - that sucks! Deb, Bluesky and Honey.
I had a very good radiation tx today - the techs aren't really speaking to me (I bitched to the supervisor) but boy I'm in and out quickly and when I saw my rads onc he brought up the "issues" of last week and said not to worry about being "missed" anymore. The squeaky wheel really does get oiled!
Tomorrow is funeral for dh's aunt who died last Friday, it was her time, she had everything BUT cancer...still sucks tho. Then I turn 60 on Wednesday.....I know 60 is the new 40 but I think when you have cancer 60 is the new 75?
I don't think spring is ever coming to the Midwest this year - tomorrow is April 1st and I still have the snow scraper in the car!
Gotta go have another glass of chocolate milk.......((hugs)) to all
-
Sam,
I had a pedicle tram flap done 8 weeks ago. I don't have any swelling whatsover. Actually I had zero swelling even right after surgery. Good luck to you.
Mel...I would definately either seek out another ps or tell him...Look...I am not happy with what you did...fix it!! By no means should you "settle"!
Tracy...did I miss something? You are moving to Texas?
Deb...I hope your nosebleed stopped and you are feeling better!
-
OK....new bitch....I'm at work and my hair decided to fall out NOW! I have not lost more than a stray hair since I started chemo, and today, at work, it is falling out like crazy! I look like a chia-pet. I'm leaving a trail of hair! ARG! Tonight I'm getting out the clippers and having hubby give me a buzz. At least my nose quit bleeding.....
Deb C
-
Awww...Deb...when it rains it pours!! Sorry you are losing your hair again. I hope you don't have much longer at work. Darn. The buzz will feel good. Glad your nose stopped bleeding. You poor thing...(((((((DEB))))))))))
-
Guggerty...you are right the squeaky wheel does get greased! Glad things went quickly for you today.
Sorry about your loss. Welcome in that 60th b'day!! You may not feel like the "new 40" right now...but you will, in time! Happy early b'day!
I agree about the winter...I am in Ohio...and sick of snow, rain..and cold!! I'ts not too bad temperature wise today...but like you...I still have that snow scraper in my car. You just never know!
xoxo

DEB WINS!!!!!!!!!!!
Hair falling out wins IMHO!!
That purple hippo is HILARIOUS!
Yep! I'm Texas bound. Plans are to be out of the sunshine state and in Dallas by 5/31.
GO COWBOYS!!
-
Love the hippo too!
Are you from Texas Traci? I hope you have some family there.
Off to scrub some bathrooms...yuck!
Deb...you have a positive today...you were the winner!!! lmao!

Pins and needles here, still waiting for biopsy results, so I'll piss and moan for a while. Who the blazes invented full length mirrors??? And why??? In my bathroom mirror I can only see from my shoulders up. Thank God for the person who hung it high! Today I made the mistake of walking into my bedroom, after my shower, and looking in the direction of my full length mirror. OMG! My abdominal incision from my flippin' TRAM flap, (don't get me started on its failure), ends in what Traci's sister calls, dog ears. Now that I've been working out and losing some of my "Tumor 20", my hips are shrinking. As for the dog ears, um, I now need them pinned back! My PS said he would do a revision, so when I see him tomorrow to get my release to return to work, I'll be sure to point them out. Hey, maybe I can get them pierced! NOT!
Where was I going with this??? Oh, yeah, I hate my full length mirror! And dog ears on my hips! And waiting for the flippin phone to ring!

Hey Traci,
I identify with so much that you said!
Love this thread
and I will definitely be back to vent myself. No time now but later, watch out. Quick question though if you don't mind. You said your Dr won't let you take any hormone replacement because of your triple neg status. I thought we triple negs had a ca not driven by hormones. Is this not correct? If our ca isn't driven by hormones why can't we take hormone replacement therapy? Just as a precaution you think? Cuz they really don't know much about triple neg cancer? My hot flashes left for awhile but the little beggars are creeping back in. Thanks again for letting me ask and for the thread!
Wink

Linda I am also glad for mirrors hung high. I am barely 5 ft tall and my bathroom mirror is hung about 4 ft 8 inches off the floor. I went in the spare bedroom after my shower and realized that I do have a hollow space over my implants! I thought that they looked good all along. I didn't notice it looking down but face on I see it. I go back to my PS next Monday for touch up tattoos and I will ask him about that.
sheila

Yes ma'am. I'm a southern gal born and raised in San Angelo, Texas. I came to Florida cuz my daddy had more money than my mommy. Jerk. j/k. But seriously.
Linda...."where was I going with this...lmao!!" Sorry girl....
Wink, My onc does not want me taking any kind of hormone replacement. I asked him why and he told me but, I forgot. : - ) The only thing he wanted to give me for hot flashes was Nuerotin. I didn't want that just cuz.
All docs are different though...as we all know....
Shelia, as soon as you said how tall you were my eyes were immediately drawn to your avatar and that doggies short little legs! lol!
-
OK, here's mine today -
My biopsy isn't scheduled to start until 10:00AM tomorrow. Their doing the mammo at 11 and the surgery at one!! WTF!! What - do the ALL need to eat lunch first??? JEEZ. Blows the whole day.
Hey Deb - Congrats on winning the best bitch of the day!! LOL.
I think we need to give out a prize everyday.
Deb - this is for you
Valerie
-
Valerie,
Do you get any coffee first??!!???
Yep ... Deb gets the prize!
-
Hello to all. I can't remember anything anymore. I want to make comments to everyone but by the time I finish reading I can't remember what happened to who. So I'll just say to everyone THAT SUCKS BIG TIME!!!
I have the hippo lips too only I thought it was a ken doll, you know how ken looks down there, yep that's me!! It's oh so attractive. Makes my pants fit like Erkle (anyone remember that show?) The extra 20 pounds really helps it too! My breast mounds are lovely as well. The left one hangs under my arm and the right one has a big divot in it from liquefying fat necrosis. I had a big fight with my bitch of a PS and "fired her ass!!" Now I have to wait a year to get into another PS but I don't care as long as the next one doesn't have the God complex. My last bitch today is I WANT MY MOJO BACK!! I loved sex, now I barely think about it. My dh is great but I miss what we used to have. Thanks for listening ladies this thread helps me soooooo much!!
-
Bren - COFFEE!!! I can't eat or drink a blessed thing after midnight tonight!!
Valerie

WTF...I got my biopsy results this afternoon. I have DCIS, very early and very small. Because of my previous Cancer I'm having a Mastectomy. I see my surgeon on Thursday afternoon to get my surgery scheduled. I also see my PS to see what my options are. I also need to see my Onc to find out WTF??? I'm going to have an MRI to be sure nothing else is lurking somewhere. We'll know more after surgery.
I am on auto-pilot. I am talking the talk and writing the words but the brain is numb. I've had to tell my kids, husband and sisters and tomorrow I have to tell my parents. I also had to tell my boss because I was supposed to go back to work tomorrow after being off for 9 weeks.
WTF?? What happened? I just ended chemo August 16th. I am my own worse nightmare. I'm ordering the shirt that says, "Of course they're fake, my real ones tried to kill me."
Too much to think about and too much to plan...
Linda
-
((((((((((((((Linda))))))))))))) ....that sucks.....
Will you tell me where you get that shirt from because I want one!
Forgive me for not knowing your history....did you have a new cancer in another breast?? Did you have a mast the first time???
Sucks girl....
-
Thanks Traci...Sucks BIG time. I had a mastectomy on April 9, 2007. Wish I knew then what I know now.
I get my shirts from www.cafepress.com. I have a warped sense of humor...
Linda
-
Traci,
When you get to the website, select Women's T-shirts & apparel, then type in Breast Cancer. There's one that says, "Hell yes, they're fake My old ones almost cost me my life!" I'm ordering mine now...
Linda
-
(((((Linda)))))
that really sucks,
Ann
