more tests as my 4th anniversary approaches

Hi all:
My 4th year anniversary since my dx is coming up. March 29th...
And, I have side pain on my right side and abdominal pain... I have had this for weeks and weeks now and my oncologist told me to see my family doc about it.
I did today.... she said it could be liver mets and I go for ultrasound and x-ray tomorrow.... gulp!!
So I face another canceritis scare.... you would think I would be used to them by now.... I have had tests about lots of things and it turns out to be nothing each time. I hope it is the same this time.
And just as my anniversary approaches too.... and my anniversary is bringing up emotions I don't want....
AAHHHHHH
I am sure you all understand I need hugs from you ladies

Well, congratulations on your 4th anniversary! That is the most important! wallan..what will be will be. I've had so many scares I'm scared to count them.
Just get the scans and take it one step at a time. I know that's hard, but...that's what I've been doing. Trying to not to think too far in advance on the what ifs.
Good luck and again..congrats on #4!!!!!

Wendy:
Sending along best wishes on the 4 year cancerversary. Sorry you have to deal with this latest worry - but pray God, it is just that, a worry and turns out to be nothing more.
Please feel the hugs and prayers I'm sending and let us know when you hear anything!!!

Hey Wendy,
I just had my 3rd anniversary, and I've been stressing over two pains. My rib pain hurt a lot from my breast scar to my waist, so I was nervous that it was bc in my bones. But Barbara (Erica) diagnosed it as Mondor's Disease, and it is slowly going away.
My second pain I've had since early November. It feels like a punch in the gut in the gallbladder/liver area. After worrying all these months, I finally insisted on an ultrasound, and there was nothing. It wasn't mets.
The anxiety over mets is exhausting. I totally understand you and I'm hoping that yours also turns out to be nothing. Maybe it's our fears and stress giving us phantom pains?

Hey Wendy,
Sorry you are going through another cancer scare. Are you on Arimdiex? I ask because I had abdominal pains the entire year I was on it. I have since switched to Femara and no more pain in that area. However, I do have more joint/muscle pain. Here's hoping everything is fine.
-
Hi ladies:
I just love you all... thanks for the support.
I went and had the ultrasound and xrays... the technologist says to me "Is this the same kind of pain you had last year?"
I asked "I was here last year?"
And she said, "Yes, at the same time of year".
Well, I can't remember. In fact, I don't remember alot of things that happen in my life. chemo-brain....
But it got me thinking... maybe my pain is psychosomatic. I mean, it is my anniversary time and here I am again... gettiing tests.
Wouldn't that be a hoot? Unconciously, I am giving myself pain so that I can get tests to be reassured I am still fine?
I hope this is it.....

Hmmmmmm, seems to me that there might be something here!!!!!!
Your being silly but I certainly pray that it is psychosomatic!!!!!!!!!!
When will you get your results?

Wendy:
Congrats on 4 years!!!!
Holding only good thoughts
and healing for best results.
I often had pains in side
and arms etc at the four year mark,
still do get them. Best to have
all checked out.
