Five year Anniversary

Well I'm at the five year mark. I know that it's just a mark and the risk still remains but honestly didn't think Id' see this and till be all clear five years ago.
The past few years (after treatment) have truly been the best of my life. I don't wait to do...I do what needs to be done now.
Spend time with my family, travel, work at my career, work on maintaining my health. Expanding my views as a person.
I don't post much anymore except here and the Canadian site but wanted to share for newcomers as I always looked to see what was possible when it was so hard to believe.

Hip Hip Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Celebrate - and I shall toast you today too!
It is sooooooooooooooooo true - we did not know what lay ahead 5 years ago - it was a very scary time, but we did get through it and are (I hate to say) better for it. I NEVER thought I'd say that, I was a very angry person at what had been dealt to me 5 years ago (in June it will be 5 years for me also).
So carmelle - enjoy - these are truly the BEST YEARS!
Hugs & Kisses of Joy

Hip Hip Hooray for sure!!!!
We three were in it together 5 years ago, and it was very difficult to see life other than the "here and now".
My son and I were talking about the last 5 years and how much our lives had changed. He grew into manhood, married and was now the father of two and I...I had survived Cancer and had lived to witness these beautiful events in his life.
And since cancer........
I stop and smell the roses along life's journey.
I appreciate my life and all those around me.
I cherish little moments.
I count my many blessings.
I learned to be strong and yet "surrender" at the same time.
I thank God everyday for the gift of life.
I try and achieve balance in my life - (not all work work work)
I believe I am a better person than before cancer entered my life. Life is good this side of cancer"
We three ARE survivers! CHEERS

Hi Carmelle: I could swear that I posted a CONGRATS TO YOU before... well... in any case, 1,005 Congrats to you. Hurray.
I just spent my Easter weekend in Kingston, ON... love that town... was there 7 years ago and fell in love with it... this time the lake was 80% frozen... and it was brutally cold but sunny... yeah!
I had a really good time and hope to go back there some day, probably more so during the summer/beginning of fall.
So my fellow Canadians, I just wanted to say... Hello!
