Hello Candy!
Cancer doesn't descriminate, why should I?
..Nice to meet you!
-
Hi Deborahann and Linda, nice to meet you also, it makes me feel alittle better when i see people who have been diagnosed a while back and are still here, i am so scared this disease is going to take me over, but i'm really trying hard to not let it! Still a little confused on the ER and PR, Her2 thingies.
-
Hey Candy,
Welcome, under not so good circumstance but we are all sisters here. I too am er/pr + and her- . ER/PR + means the cancer is receptive to estrogen and progesterone and grows when aided by those hormones. HER- means it is not in that classification and you do not take that medication for your cancer. You will go on hormone therapy when all else is complete for ER/PR + , if you are not already. The medication will stop your body from processing and making estrogen.Be strong , you can win this battle, God is good!
Take care,
Benita

Hi Candy
Your feelings of being scared is very appropiate---I am sure everyone of us have had those feelings, and even days now.
There is a lot to understand and right now it can be very over-whelming. Take your time and ask many many questions, read everything you can about Breast Cancer and still ask questions for what you don't understand--even then, you will always be learning.
Benita gave you some really good information, and this is how it goes. These ladies are great support!!!
Come visit us often.

Hello all, haven't been on in awhile, just had my 3rd chemo treatment yesterday of 4 of the A/C, did 15 radiation back in February with 3 taxotere, after these 4, will do 4 more of Doce? Anyways just wondering does anyone else have this funny odor on body, mine is mostly when i sweat, but its not a sweaty odor, its like a nastier odor, Just wondering. Hope everyone is doing good and prayers are with all.
-
Hi Candy,
I was just talking about this "matter" today.
It is more so when I have "nite sweats", I believe I can smell my skin, and I do think it is the Chemo coming through my pores--no, it does not smell pretty, as soon as I cool down, it goes away. I have not ask my Dr. just have to deal with it. I am on Navelbine and Tykerb.
