    Hi everyone

Last year, on March 15th, I had my biopsy.  On May 2nd, when I had my bi-lateral mast., the path report showed only NORMAL TISSUE!!  YIPPEE!!  So, I have been cancer free for ONE year!

Today we went to a St Patricks Day festival at a local winery.

It amazes me how far I have come in the past year... the mast., then chemo... 4 txs of Taxotere and Cytoxan...  then in November, the reconstruction.  I still have the tattoos for the aureolas coming up on Thursday, March 20th, and then the nipples on May 22nd...

My hair has come back in a cute pixie style, and I am even getting used to it!

I am so glad to have met all you wonderful ladies!

    Thanks for all the support!

    Newter,

Thanks!  I see you are 2 years out!  Congrats!  Looking back on it now, it seems like it happened long ago, but I know that I couldn't have gotten through it all without bc.org and my faith in God.  HE has been with me every step of the way.

    Diana,

Oh, thanks!  You will make it through just fine!  I know it!

You know, looking back, I think it may sound silly, I was so scared, but maybe it helps if you just focus on ONE phase of treatment at a time.  I think that helped me, at least.  I couldn't think ahead to what lie ahead in my treatment plan, because when I did, I was PETRIFIED!  I know that after dx, the time just before my bi-lateral mast. was also very difficult.  My dh and I  went to dinner with some friends, and  our friend Dave said to me, "you are PETRIFIED, aren't you?"  I just nodded my head YES.   Prior to this bc dx, I had never had any surgery of any kind before.

So, sorry for such a long story, I guess I just want to say that I know you'll make it through just fine!  If you ever need to chat, you can pm me.  We are ALL here for each other.

    Hugs

    Harley
