Kathy's husband, Bill, just called to let us know that Kathy passed away Tuesday evening. We live in the same town and Bill found my name from a card I'd sent to Kathy. I'm so sorry for her family and for all of us here at BC.org. Kathy was always ready to help ....... she will be deeply missed.

This is terrible news. She was so strong and vibrant and just wanted to help people. Damn this disease.
Shepgirl you will be sadly missed but now you are at peace.

Is anyone interested in joining together and making a donation to bluemoon in Kathy's memory from her sisters at bc.org ?? I'd be willing to organize it and send a nice card to her family to let them know ... PM me if you're interested - Kathy was such an inspiration and was always helping others here ... she was sooo well informed and up on the latest research.

Doreen - I think that's a wonderful idea!

Shepgirl, my soulmate, I miss you so much
Both inquisitively alike, we found research a must
To keep hope a live we eyed the growing racks
Of abstracts and papers and news feeds fast facts
Your sisterly support in lifting hope anew, I believed were
Pearls of the day, often sparkling like crisp morning dew
You feed me immediately upon my site arrival
Departed now you fly, with the angels of tomorrow.
I will miss you Dear Shepgirl but am glad you found peace
Your love for knowledge will continue, pearls given piece by piece.

I just saw this and am so so saddened at the news. Kathy did so much for so many - she really researched things and shared them with all who wished to know. I pray for her family and loved ones. May she be resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
God bless you Kathy,
Pat
