Hi everyone... I was just wondering if anyone has any experience or opinions on the Huntsman Institute.  I saw the founder, Jon Huntsman, on Glen Beck the other night and he seemed so committed and sincere in his quest to help cancer patients and their families.  Thanks

I also saw this program. Wish I lived out there and could visit. I would have loved a hospital like that for my treatments! I hope they do more research for us triple-negs and come up with something positive for us. I was planning on looking the Huntsman Institiute online to read more about their facilities.

I saw it too and went on their website.

I could not learn how they would help better than others but you might have to fill out a questionaire/form so they will contact you.

It was very impressive to learn about their founder and Glenn Beck had tears in his eyes, he was moved.

    God Bless

I was diagnosed at Huntsman last August with Stage III C breast cancer. I had had a "clean" mammogram May 31, found a lump the day after I ran the Casper Marathon in June, and eventually decided to go there because I was worried. I don't have enough positive things to say about this place, its doctors, and staff. It's not like a hospital at all. It doesn't even look like a hospital when you walk in. Everyone there is exceptionally professional, kind, and caring. After the diagnostic mammogram showed nothing, the radiologist said I needed an ultrasound because my breasts were just too dense to see anything. I live six hours round trip away from Huntsman, so they immediately got me in for the ultrasound right then and scheduled the MRI for the next morning. All the doctors worked around my college teaching schedule so I wouldn't have to miss classes for my follow up appointments, for chemotherapy, and for radiation. Again, I can't say enough good things about Huntsman Cancer Institute. I'm trying to talk my twin into coming out to have her prophylactic mastectomies done there. We both have the BRCA1 mutation, so she should have it done. I'm sure there are other places as good, but I've never been to them.
