Tender,
Since joining bc.org in late 2007, your words on a variety of threads have always been so ...well...tender. No judgements, no strings, just your tender loving words of support and encouragement. Thank you for bringing your voice to the boards.
Enjoy your time with your family, getting back to a life that isn't identified with bc 24/7, and know that when you're wanting to just check in to say hey...your voice will be so welcome.

Dear Tender,
Your words were the first words I read when I entered this forum. Your post was warm, comforting, and so well-informed it revealed a medical knowledge base that led me to believe you were a physician ~ the kind of physician I would drive miles to have as my own.
I don't know if you are, but you have all the components of the best medical care providers. Professionalism. Intelligence. Courtesy. Caring. Most of all ~ you exemplify the famous words of Hippocrates ~ "First, do no harm.."
You have and always will have my deepest respect. When your voice appeared here, so did reason and common sense. Your signature, "It cannot be emphasized too strongly that treatment of each patient is a highly individualized matter" - per the FDA for Coumadin, is a testament to your approach with each individual you have touched here on the forum and out there in cyberspace where your words traveled.
I am so sorry you won't be here anymore to 'pass like ships in the night'. Please know you have done so very much good here ~ more than you will ever know.
May the road rise to meet you....and enjoy a hot fudge sunday with your lucky family. Live well and long! Do drop in for tea sometime!
With sincere gratitude for having met you through your words,
HannaB

Tender, I am so sorry to hear that you'll be leaving. You have been one of my favorite posters here. What's really crushing, for me, though is seeing that your posts have been deleted. This is a devastating blow. I hope you saved all that you've contributed here and write a book. I miss you already.
-
Tender, when I first received my diagnosis I lurked on the boards desperately searching for information. Your posts were more than just informative, they were full of compassion. I will miss your presence on the boards. I am sending up prayers of thanks for you and your willingness to share your knowledge to so many frightened women and men. I also offer up prayers of support for you and your family during this time. God bless you. ~S

Wow, like Althea I too am devastated by the removal of posts.
Edit to add: I wish it didn't have to be, but (as Maryanne CB says below me) I am sure you have thought long and hard about it.
Take good care of yourself! (and family too, but I know you will do that!)
Best,
Ann

Whatever your reasons are tender, I expect you have thought long and hard. Best wishes for cotinued health.

Why are Tender's posts going, too?!?!?!?!
I'm seriously feeling very unsettled right now. I took solace in the thought that I'd at least be able to go back and read her calming words every now and then.
I'm sad.......very sad.......things are just funky here lately.

I'm sooo sad too ... I thought Tender's message was she was taking a break and needed to spend time with her family ... I had no idea she was planning to also delete her posts .... that's sooo sad ... Tender's posts were always filled with information, support and such a calming sense of peace would wash over me when I'd read her posts.
Doreen

Why has Tender deleted her posts??
-
Logic would dictate she's upset about something.
-
Ah, Tender, I knew it would have to happen at some point. I hope you will drop in now and again to share your thoughtful insights and knowledge.
You know you will be greatly missed by one and all.
Blessings, Dear One, and sunshine always.,
-
Tender,
I sincerely hope that you are O.K. Your post was deleted before I read what you wrote here. I have learned and changed by reading what you have so generously written to so many. This site will not be the same without your loving presence. -
Tender, I didn't get to read your post on leaving. I believe that God puts people in our lives when we need them the most. There are times when people touch our hearts and they don't even know it. That has happened to me several times since I've been on this board. You are one of those people Tender. I want you to know how very comforting your posts have been to me. You have made me laugh and cry. The way you write is so emotional and comes from your big heart. I will miss you terribly. Thank you for being in my life when I needed you the most.
I pray you and your family are ok. They are very blessed to have you. Love, Dianne
-
Tender, I also did not get to read your post, I'm so sorry that you will be leaving. like all of these women you have touched our lives in a very special way, your kind words, your inspiration, you are one special lady, I hope the best for you and your family and allways you will be in my prayers, Heather
-
Dear Tender: All I can say is, I will miss you, and thank you very much for all the advice and kindness you've shown me. You helped me through my first major meltdown and I will never forget that.
Have a happy and wonderful future. Pearl
